The muffled, guttural scream echoed down the stone corridor, striking like a whip crack through Kara's otherwise sterile silence.

"YOU BASTARD, I'M GONNA MAKE YOU PAY, UZUMAKI NARUTO!"

Delta's voice tore through the air like glass shattering on concrete.

From her room, Y/n could already hear the sound of reinforced panels groaning under the weight of her rage.

The reinforced doors of her chamber trembled from the sheer force of Delta's fury as she stomped into view like a thunderstorm on legs, dragging chaos in her wake.

Amado's voice fired back from somewhere deeper in the base, irritated, clinical, but distant. "Hey Delta! Would you stop wrecking the cover to get out?!"

Y/n didn't bother hiding the faint roll of her eyes. She stepped out from her room, head tilted slightly, strands of her hair still damp from the cooling gel she'd used to treat the cuts on her arms after that morning's brutal training.

The hallway lighting cast a faint blue glow over her face, pale and unreadable, as she turned her gaze lazily toward the source of the tantrum.

And there she was: Delta, seething. Her eyes were wild with the kind of ego-bruised rage that screamed I lost and I don't know how to deal with it.

Her presence was almost comical, the way her limbs twitched with restrained violence, the way her chakra buzzed too loud and too hot in the tense space around them.

A woman engineered to be flawless, and yet here she was, breaking at the seams.

Y/n stared.

"You." Delta narrowed her eyes, voice venom-drenched, as if Y/n's existence had personally offended her.

Y/n blinked slowly, then offered a polite, almost airy, "Hello."

Delta stepped forward like a predator, eyes narrowed into slits. "Tell me his weakness. Tell me how I can kill him."

"The Hokage?" Y/n asked, as if confused, though her tone was disinterested, calm. Calculated.

She leaned her shoulder against the wall and crossed her arms, her gaze gliding over Delta like she was just another failed experiment, pitiful and loud.

"Yes, of course him!" Delta snapped.

Y/n's lips curled just slightly at the edge, but the expression didn't reach her eyes. "Aim for the ones closest to him first," she said flatly. "His daughter. A child, she won't fight back. But if you hesitate again..." Her gaze sharpened ever so slightly, like a dagger sliding through silk, "Well. That's what got you in this mess to begin with, wasn't it?"

Delta bristled. Her face contorted into a snarl of insulted pride and wounded competence. "You brat-"

Y/n cut her off before she could spiral. "Let me guess. You were close enough to strike but waited. Wanted to bait him in for the dramatic kill, didn't you? Typical. You should've eliminated the girl immediately. But you dragged it out. And look where that got you, intercepted by a child and a glorified houseplant."

That did it. Delta lunged, foot raised to strike.

Y/n didn't flinch.

Code's chakra appeared before the blow landed. Fast and calm in blur.

His hand caught Delta's leg mid-air, eyes flat and unreadable, before he pivoted and flung her backwards across the hall like it took no more effort than brushing dust from his jacket.
