I start awake and look over at Alex's bed seeing him sound asleep puts me at ease somewhat, I look at my hands again and see some small wounds on them. I sigh....magic....it's not what everyone expected....yea everyone is talented in magic in some way but there are cursed ones....whom whenever they use magic is harms them and shortens their life span....and I would happen to be one of thoes "lucky" few. I begin to wonder how Alex would feel if he found out about this....I go to the bathroom and grab the first aid kit and put on some anti bacterial medicine on the wounds then I wrap my hands in gauze and put gloves over them. I walk out and see Alex sitting up in bed clutching his chest slightly. "Alex! Are you ok?! I run over to him and look in his eyes, they are glassy. He can't see or hear anything, I push him back down and he relaxes and goes back into a calmer slumber. I go to my bed lie down close my eyes, the next thing I know Alex is shaking me awake....his voice all groggy.
"Hey sky, time to get up and get ready." He moves away and puts on a shirt and looks back at me like he is trying to read me.
"So...." He begins "mind telling me what happened to your hands?" He askes as he sits down and puts on the rest of his uniform. I start to get dressed as well
"Oh...umm it somehow got cut no need to worry." I look away from him and finish getting ready
He looks at me again with the same look as before and just nods then opens the door "I'm ready when you are". I nod and head out the door and he follows behind me and closes the door as we walk to out first class. What magic can do to the human body.
"Class, does anyone know what magic can do If you do not wield it properly?"
Alex raises his hand "Oh? New kid thinks he has a answer let's hear him out shall we class?"
Alex then says "it can do a multitude of things break a arm a finger, cause death or the magic may consume you and eat you alive."
"Ooh very good Alex, it seems you do possess some intellectual properties after all." I look in Alex's eyes and see something I've never seen before....Rage.
I touch him arm "are you alright?" He smiles and tries to hid his feelings from me "yea im...alright just didn't get enough sleep last night. Are you feeling alright tho? You seem a bit different."
I nod "yea im alright just a bit tired as well no need to worry tho." We focus back on the teacher as he says
"Now class does anyone know about the cursed ones?" No one answers "very disappointing class, however that's what I'm here for, to teach you what you do not know. A cursed one is a being who possess magic like everyone else but if they were to do so it would cause them Injuries. But only one being can fix these injuries, a God in flesh or at least that's what's said." I look at my notebook and feel someone's gaze upon me I look up and look around but no one is looking. The day ends and Alex hasn't said anything since first period I set my stuff down and turn around and see Alex right there in my way
"let me see your hands sky" He says
"W....why?" I stutter
"I need to see if I'm correct in what I belive to be true"
I look at him and ask "and what would that be?"
He looks away and sighs "if you are a cursed one."
I shake my head "no way" I try to move past him but he picks me up and sets me on my bed and sits on the edge
"Your not gonna leave here until you show me" I reluctantly take my gloves and gauze off "there....you happy now?" I ask as I look away and show him my hands
He frowns "I'm happy you showed me but sad that I was correct and that you hid this from me." He sighs "I'll try to fix this just....give me a minute" He goes to the bathroom and comes back out 5 minutes after looking extremely tired I stand up and go to him helping hold him up
"Are you right what happened?"
He smiles weakly "i....did what needed to be done to find a way to heal you" He grabs my hands as a blinding holy light comes from our hands and all my injuries vanish and I no longer feel the weight of being cursed I look at him and see him passed out and his weight topples me, we hit the ground with him on top of me. I barely manage to get him into his bed and get into my own. I pass out and wake up to the alarm and see Alex no awake yet, I get dressed somewhat and I go to shake him awake and see something I didn't want to see....wounds..on his hands he sits up looks at me and looks at my hands then his.
He smiles and looks at me "glad it worked." I fall down and ask
"W....why did you get rid of my curse if it was going to make you have it!?"
