Chapter 24: The Underworld

The group ran out to their cave. They explored a lot of it, mostly going downward. 

Soon, they reached a large cavern. They found pools upon pools of lava. Some were even covered by obsidian. They collected the obsidian and went further down. Zach was mining away at the floor beneath him when suddenly...

CRACK! 

The floor collapsed beneath him and he fell into the Underworld!

He was falling! His friends were panicking as he fell further away from them and closer to the lava. Zach looked under him and noticed the lava approaching! He then remembered something. 

He landed on a nearby ruined building. He thankfully remembered he had Mike's Tsunami in a Bottle! He took a breather. But how would his friends get down? He suddenly got an idea. He built a stone platform under the hole and told Bell and Mike to make a line of rope. They slid down and looked around. Small and large islands of ash were dotted around a huge sea of lava. There were Hellbats flying around, and Bone Serpents swimming through the lava.

"Wow, this would make for a nice vacation spot." Bell said, sarcastically.

"Totally! We could build a huge fancy mansion down here!" Mike said.

"I was joking, but sure..."

Suddenly, the group was attacked by a Demon! It created scythes and fired them at the group when their backs were turned. One hit Mike in the back.

"Ow!" 

The group turned to see the demon. Mike got angry and shot his Bee Gun at the Demon.

"Die! Die! Die!" 

Hundreds of bees swarmed the Demon. It died in seconds. When the bees flew away, the group noticed a book on the ground. Mike picked it up. 

"That book is very similar to your Water Bolt." Zach said. "Maybe it's another spell?" 

Mike opened the book and read the words inside. He stretched out his hand and a scythe shot out.

"Wow!"

"Wait, why were we down here again?" Bell asked.

"Duh! To get Fireblossom so we can make a potion that makes us resist the lava!" Mike said. 

The group explored the Underworld and found lots of Fireblossom. They soon went back home.

"Hey, Guide! We're back!"
