Prim's Second Chance at Life
(Prim's Point Of View)
The Rebel medics and I rush towards the dead and injured children that had just been blown up by the silver parachutes. I slowly approach a wailing boy murmuring soothing words, once I reach him I quickly yank off my coat at drape it over him.
"Shh, calm down now your going to be OK," I say soothingly.
"Prim!" I hear Katniss' voice call.
I just have enough time to meet Katniss' eyes, before the rest of the parachutes go off. For a split second I am engulfed in flames before everything goes black.
(Third Person POV)
The Hunters of Artemis stood watching as the parachutes went off for a second time with puzzled and slightly sad expressions on their faces. Lady Artemis had led them here saying that she had found another eligible girl whom she hoped would join the Hunt.
Lady Artemis gazed at the explosion with a thoughtful expression. Finally, when the survivors had been cleared out and there were no witnesses around, Lady Artemis signalled to her Hunters. Slowly but cautiously they approached the wreckage. The goddess walked straight to a particular pile of ashes and knelt down, she scanned the pile quickly and gave a small nod before standing again.
"My lady?" asked Finch. Lady Artemis looked over at her.
"Why are we here?"
"I told you, I have found a girl I'm hoping will join the Hunt and here she is," She replied gesturing to the pile of ashes.
"But there's nothing left of her. How can Leandros revive this girl if there is nothing left?" asked Clove, confusion clearly etched on her face.
"Her ashes still remain, that should be enough. Stay here, while I go and message Leandros."
The goddess walked a small distance away from her hunters in search of a rainbow, but all she saw were buildings. She soon found out that if she stood at a certain angle the sun's rays formed a small rainbow. Lady Artemis quickly glanced at the sky to make sure no clouds would pass in front of the sun; when she was satisfied, she extracted a drachma from the pocket of her hunter jacket and IM'D Leandros. He was not happy about having to revive yet another girl, but agreed to anyways.
Lady Artemis made her way back to the Hunters, where the god was already waiting.
"I don't know why you always have me reviving girls," he huffed. "I don't even know why you take the ones that die in the blood bath, if they couldn't make it through the first day, what good are they as a Hunter?"
Some of the girls flinched slightly when he said that, while the rest of the Hunters just shifted uncomfortably not liking being in the presence of a man (even if that man is some millenia old).
Lady Artemis glared at the god. "Training has turned them into good Hunters, as you can see. Now, please just do you're work and then you can leave."
"Fine, who am I reviving?"
Lady Artemis gestured to the pile of ashes. "Will you be able to do it?" she asked.
Leandros snorted. "'Course I'll be able to."
He walked over over the pile of ashes and lazily waved his hand, there was a flash of green light and the body of a thirteen-year old girl took the piles place. She looked completely unharmed except for the fact that she wasn't breathing. With another lazy wave of the god's hand the girl's chest rose as she took a breath.
Leandros then turned to Lady Artemis "Now remember-" he started.
"Yes, yes, I already know the warning by heart so there's no point in you repeating it," the goddess said, waving her hand dismissively.
