Cinder POV

Everyone was staring at me. This wasnt going well at all.

"We have other things to discuss." I said in a desperate attempt to change the subject.

"Kaito, do not pressure her. She is a new queen. You may not realize, but being a woman leader is much more difficult than being a man." Queen Camilla intervened.

"That isn't true. I had my childhood taken away in a matter of seconds. Suddenly I was engaged to a psychotic Lunar Queen and ruler of a country with no preparation. Do you think it was easy?" Kai argued as his voice began to rise.

Camilla stayed creepily calm "I did not say it was easy. Your situation is much different than that of Selene's."

"Camilla is quite right. I've been flooded with men in my throne room demanding that I step down because I, and I quote, 'am not capable of proper decision-making because of my gender, age, and additions' ; referring to the cyborg limbs. Not to mention the dozens of marriage proposals so a man will become king." I say through gritted teeth.
"I didnt ask to be a woman, be only 16 years old, OR to have my body burned nearly beyond repair." With each thing, I push a finger down.
"I'll have you know, if it were up to me, I'd still be in my shop with Iko fixing your android, Kaito." At this point I was standing, but my voice was still quiet. Maybe I was better at this royal thing than I thought.

Kai shrunk back. I have to admit I felt horrible, but something things just have to be said.

Time for a subject change.

"I, hopefully, will soon be coronated as queen. We took the time to look into the law, and found something interesting. The change of office can not be made until our planets have a peace treaty with eachother. That could cause quite a problem." I start.

"How is that a problem? You just need to sign a simple document until your hold in office is official and a more secure one can be written." President Vargas says.

I nod, "It would seem that way. Levena has herself a good insurance plan set up. As I said, the change of office cannot be made until we have an official peace treaty. The issue is that only the current Queen can put her signature on it. I am not Queen, therefor the transition cannot be made."

"Why cant the law be changed?" Vargas asked.

"I am not Queen. Levena is still in complete control." I respond grimly.

"So how do we fix this?" Kai says.

"Well, Levena is currently being held under a lava tube in the very center of Luna right now. We chose to keep her alive for this exact reason. We may also need her in the future for information and such. The only way to null her rule is by execution. This is also a problem because another relative could find a loophole and claim that they are the rightful heir to the throne, which is very possible and I advise everyone not to choose this option as most of my family will be just as bad, if not worse that Levena. The only other option right now is for Levena to sign a document of peace.. Or she could also sign a marriage license."

All eyes turned to Kai.
