Everyone had lost respect for Leo, one mission, one mission he had failed. He hadn't meant too.
Right now he was on his knees begging Lucy to let him come on a mission with her, surprisingly she agreed (after about 20 minutes of Leo on his knees, begging) Leo was going to hug her in thanks but she ended up punching him, telling him to go back to the celestial plain. Which he did, not willingly of course.
After a few days, Leo knew Team Natsu was going on a mission so he used his own magic power to come on the mission. He wasn't expecting to get scolded so harshly by almost everyone on the team, the only person who didn't was happy, the blue exceed had a soft spot for the lion and he knew that Leo had tried to do his best. Of course happy was the only one who knew the full story of why Leo failed the mission, or his part of protecting Lucy.
Leo was on his knees in front of everyone, his body shaking, he was begging. Tears pricking his eyes, but his eyes where covered by his sunglasses(?).
"Please...I'm sorry...I tried to protect her, please, let me redeem myself..."
Leo was shaking violently, his hands clutching the ground tightly.
Erza suddenly stopped Lucy from speaking, she spoke.
"He will be useful"
Leo looked up in shock his eyes glistened with hope, he stood up quickly, then bowed his eyes closing.
"Th-thank you miss Erza"
