~ The Girl’s Point of View ~

I pulled on my black jacket as I speed walked out of my small apartment. I stepped out side in to the cold weather my snow-white hair flew around my face as I continued to walk quickly down the street.

I was going to be late for work and my boss was going to murder me if I was late again. As I was speed walking down the street I bumped my shoulder against a boy with matching white hair like my own. I stopped and looked at the boy, he turned around and smiled at me. It was like he knew me, and then he vanished. I pulled my jacket closer to my body as a snowy wind blew around me. I span around and continued to the little bookstore on the end of the street. As I pushed the door open the Christmas bells chimed as I walked in. My boss looked up at me from the front desk of the small shop.

“Black again my dear Odette?” Trisha sighed out as she stood up and placed a small white pen on a pile of books. White. The color I so very much hated.

“Its always black.” I smiled as I pulled off my black winter jacket and hung it up. “Jack Frost is doing his job well this year.” I laughed out as I walked over to the desk and grabbed a hold of the file of books.

“You and your myths Odette.” Trisha laughed out softly as she began to write down in the workbook “Those books go in fantasy.” She yelled out as I disappeared in to the bookshelves.

I was never sure why people would read fantasy books; did they not have an interesting life already? I sighed as I put the last book in its place but not before reading the title ‘The Frost of Jack’. I laughed softly as I walked back to the desk. As I was close I heard the Christmas bells from the door chime and an ice-cold breeze soon followed.

“Do you have any Jack Frost books?” A boys voice asked, it sounded so similar but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I peaked around to have a look at the boy, to my surprise it was the boy that I had ran in to a few minutes ago but how? He vanished on me.

“Yes, I believe we do but you would have to talk to Odette about Jack Frost. She knows quite a lot.” Trisha smiled happily then looked in my direction. “ODETTE!” She simply yelled out as I quickly hid behind the book shelve again.

“Yes?” I spoke as I walked out in to view. The boy looked at me with a happy smile, I was so confused.

“You know about Jack Frost?” The boy asked.

“I know of him.” I smiled as I walked over to a small bookcase; I pulled out a small white book. “He’s a thing of legend. Some people say he is real were as others say he is fake. It was said that Jack would bring winter to the earth. Here take a read.” I spoke as I handed the boy my white book. “It contains every myth that has ever been told about Jack Frost, I wrote it myself.” I smiled at him.

“Odette here grew up with the Jack Frost myth as a young girl.” Trisha spoke as she took a sip of her cup of tea. I didn’t even know she had a cup of tea.

“By any chance is your name Odette Gwendolin?” The boy asked as he held tightly to the small white book.

“Ugh.” I began to say but my mobile rang in my pocket. “Excuse me.” I pulled out my phone and held it to my ear.
