me and vinnie had the conversation about having kids about 3 weeks ago. the only reason i asked him was because a few weeks before we had the conversation i started to have morning sickness. so i took a pregnancy test the morning of the conversation and it turned out to be positive. hearing him say he wants kids made me happy. me and vinnie have been together for four years and engaged for one. he asked me to me his girlfriend at our high school graduation. today was the day i was going to tell him i was pregnant. i went to the doctors last week to confirm i was pregnant so know i also had an ultrasound to prove i was pregnant. i ordered mom and dad hats and i was going to wear the mom hat and give him the dad one until he figures it out.
y/n: morning vin
i walked downstairs with my mom hat on and put his dad hat on the counter
v: morning love
he gave me a kiss and didn't notice the hat
3 hours later:
vinnie's been working on some stuff for purgatory so we haven't been around each other much.
y/n: hey vin i brought you lunch. i told him walking into his office
v: ok, love i'll be down in a minute
after about 5 minutes he came down and noticed the "dad" hat on the counter next to his food.
v: angel what is this? he questioned showing me the hat
y/n: a hat..
v: why does it say dad on it?
he looked up at me and read my hat before putting two and two together
v: wait.. are you?
i started nodding my head aggressively as my eyes started to water. i took the pregnancy stick out of my pocket and gave it to him. his eyes started watering and he came over to hug me.
v: is this why you asked me a few weeks ago if i wanted kids?
y/n: yeah, i had been feeling weird a few weeks before so i took a test and it came out positive. i went to the doctor and i'm about 8 weeks pregnant and due in january.
v: oh my god i'm so happy. y/n we're gonna be parents. he said hugging me again
y/n: we gotta call your parents and reggie
v: i know but i just wanna cuddle with my girl and baby for now
he picked me up before taking me upstairs to our bed. he layed me on the bed carefully and pulled up my shirt and started talking to the fetus. he placed a few pecks to my stomach and then a few on my lips before we layed comfortably in each other's arms and fell asleep.
