(Jeffrey's POV)

I wave at Anika and laugh to myself unloading my car. I head into the heated building and look around. About 3 people are here already, but I'm half an hour early anyway. Anika runs through the door with a huge grin on her face.

"Hey." I kindly say as she approaches me, her eyes light up and she slightly waves.

"This is going to be fun." She mumbles, she sounds- nervous?

"I hope so, this wasn't exactly cheap." I reply with a laugh, her phone rings and she sighs in pure annoyance.

"I'm just going to go take this..." She says with anger, I nod with a bit of laughter, fastening my boot.

(Katie's POV)

*Phone Conversation*

Anika: What could you possibly need at this very second.

Katie: What?

Anika: Me and Jeff were like about to kiss.

Katie: So by that you mean he talked to you.

Anika: Shut up.

*Hangs up*

"Wow. Someone is boy crazy." I mutter.

"What I don't lik-" I raise my eyebrow in suspicion, "I mean, yeah. How long till we get there?" Sky stutters.

"About 5 minutes." My mom answers.

*Text Conversation*

Skylar: Do you really want to be seen with your mom?

Katie: No, but what choice do we have?

Skylar: Play along.

*End Text Conversation*

"Mrs. Kathy?" She calls out.

"Yes dear?" My mom answers.

"Maybe we should just walk? It's not that far and I am honestly not feeling to well. Maybe some fresh air would help." Sky insists.

"Walk? Are you joking? Its freezing! If anything it'll just make it worse." Mom replies.

" Well the road is under construction up there. Plus it's really icy, I think it'd be safer to walk." She lies.

"Really? Casey's mom just posted to Facebook that it is beautiful up there, and she drove." Mom informs us.

"It just happened recently," I join in, "Summer texted me."

"Summer? Oh irony much?" Mom says with a laugh.

"We're walking." I tell her, opening the car door before I get an answer. My mom halts the car to a stop as soon as Sky gets out. She yells something at us but the wind is too loud.

"See ya later, mom!" I scream back. I give Skylar a high-five and start laughing, "One point for us." I call out.

"Oh. My. God. Look." She whispers pointing a moose. She walks over to see it as I start laughing. She slowly creeps toward it when I see where she's stepping.

"Skylar!!!" I yell, but I'm already too late.

(Anika's POV)

I walk back inside, annoyed with the distribution that Katie caused between me and Jeff. I sit on lounge chair in the middle of the room.

"Pretty important call?" I hear from behind me. No freaking way.

"Not too important." I reply with a smirk.
"So-" He starts, interrupted yet again by my phone ringing.

"Jesus Christ." I mutter, he laughs a little bit, walking off again. I slap my forehead with my hand and accept the call.

*Phone Conversation*

Anika: I HATE YOU

Katie: I NEED HELP

Anika: FORGET THAT I'M NOT HELPING YOU WITH BOY ISSUES I GOT MY OWN!

*Hangs up*

I don't bother to talk to Jeff again, why don't I just turn my phone off??? I try to forget everything that just happened and walk outside. I look around at the scenery, the snow on he trees, taking it all in. I start to relax when I hear a scream.

"HELP!" I hear, I sprint the direction of the screaming, trying to find the source.

"Katie?" I question seeing Skylar laying on the ground, soaking wet.

"Don't just stand there! Help me!" She commands, I run over to her and help Sky to her feet. We put her arms around our shoulders and lug her into the lodge. Jeffrey, who is laying with Julia under a blanket, slowly sits up. Life goals. Wait. Anika stop. Sky is dying. I focus my eyes on Skylar, who is turning purple. A instructor rushes over to us, asking what happened.

"She fell into the lake. Long story." Katie mumbles, slightly embarrassed by the subject.

"Okay Skylar, you're probably not going to like this but the longer you stay in wet clothes the worse it's going to get." The instructor tells us.

"Are you asking her to strip in the middle of a skiing lodge?" I mumble, feeling awkward. Skylar obeys taking off her jacket, shirt, and her skiing pants leaving her in a tank top and spandex shorts, which are still relatively dry. Jeffrey suddenly jumps up off the couch pulling the blanket with him.

"Jeff!" Julz screams, obviously wanting the blanket (and him) but Jeff ignores her and he makes his way to Sky. Is he... He isn't.... He wraps the blanket around Skylar and smiles. OH MY GOD. I see Skylar's eyes follow him as he lays next to Julia who is still enraged with the situation. After calming Julia down Jeff stands on one of the tables.

"Who's ready to go skiing?"
