This was the worst night of Daynas life, it was all over. Her mother lay limp in the hospital bed, pale and lifeless. She could still smell the distinct scent of antibiotics and her mothers lilac perfume. "Mom, wake up! Wake up! No,no,no,Wake up!" She screamed until her voice was hoarse. And when she was done she just stared at her mothers face and felt her warm tears going down her cheeks. Her dad began to hold her like a little girl again as they both sobbed. Dayna began to feel anger. Why must I go through this pain. Why does everyone have to leave me. She stood up and ran out of the room. Her tears fell to the ground as she ran towards the bathroom. She kept running until she found the bathroom doorway and slammed the large door behind her.                                                                                       She looked at her face in the mirror, she was a wreck. Mascara ran down her cheeks, her eyes were red and her hair was tangled. Dayna took a deep breath and grabbed a paper towel from the dispenser. She put it under the faucet and got it wet. Her hand moved slowly under her eyes wiping the makeup from her cheeks. She splashed water on her face and brushed out her auburn hair with her fingers. This was the last time she would see herself like this, the last time she would cry, the last time she would care. She was going to change everything.
