Trin looked out the plane window sighing in disbelief, she had been kicked off another hockey team again! She furrowed her eyebrows and looked to her phone still no messages from her father but many from her best friend Charlie Conway.Charlie was the closest thing she had to a brother and she couldn't wait to see him they had been friends since childhood and even played on the Ducks together, they were extremely close even though years of distance separated them. She was nervous to see her father Gordon Bombay it had been years since Trin saw him.She used to be extremely close with him until she was forced to move away with her mother and never to see him again, she had been fending for herself for the past few years as her mother passed 2 years ago,she was forced to live with her aunt who never cared about her one bit,she knew her mother wouldn't let her see her father no matter what. But she had finally convinced her aunt to go live with her father, she needed a fresh start and a new attitude. Her train of memories was interrupted by the pilot talking through the loudspeaker that they were about to land. She looked as the seat belt sign as it flicked on and took a deep breathe."To a new start!"she mumbled to herself as a toast.

As the plane landed she hurried to get her bags and walked off the plane looking around the terminal for her father and Charlie. As she was about to walk another way she felt someone's arms grab her waist and spin her around."TRINBIN."Charlie said loudly. This was the nickname he had given her when they had met for the first time."SPAZWAY."She yelled and left his grasp around her waist turning to hug him tightly."I missed you so much.."Trin said quietly."I did even more."Charlie whispered. When they had let go of each other she looked behind Charlie to see her father smiling brightly.''DAD!"She sprinted over to Gordon jumping up in his arms.He caught her hugging her tightly his eyes watering a bit."I missed you squirt."She smiled at the pet name he always had for her and hugged him even tighter. She hadn't realized how much she missed the touch and love of her father, she loved him more then ever. After the hugging was over they walked over to get the leftover bags."So how are the ducks!"she asked eagerly thinking of their first championship winning game."Awesome!Everyone is so excited to see you!"Charlie said eagerly. She couldn't wait to see the other ducks, she knew it had been years and they would be different then they were as kids even Charlie was different he had grown much taller and his hair was longer but they were like her family and she cared for each of them and knew they would recognize her. After they had grabbed the bags the 3 of them began walking to the car Gordon carrying the bags and Charlie his arm around Trin's shoulder."Man this is so unreal..''Trin said glancing at her surrounding's."I know I can't believe that your back and you get to play in the goodwill games with us!"She looked over at Charlie confused."W...what do you mean?"He laughed softly and turned to Coach Bombay."You didn't tell her?"He also laughed,"kinda forgot to." Charlie shook his head. Trin was still confused and Charlie started explaining how they were going to play for team USA hockey in the Junior Goodwill Games. She was in disbelief at the words he spoke."That's amazing guys..congrats!"Charlie looked at her confused as they entered a taxi which Bombay had finally got."Did you hear me,your on the team too dummy."He laughed shaking his head."WHAT!"Gordon and Charlie burst out laughing and nodded to her.She couldn't believe it,she was going to play for team USA and with the ducks by her side. She couldn't wait to finally get back to where she belonged.
