Chapter 9

Megan and I drive to the party together. I can't help but feel slightly nervous as we walk into the house. I crane my neck to see if I can spot a 6 foot 4 man with blonde hair. I finally spot him and split away from Megan. As I get closer, my nerves increase.

"Hey Luke!" I say with a smile. My smile fades as my eyes travel to his red cup that's filled with a liquid that isn't water. That's for sure.

"Hey? Um, Kaylee, right?" he slurs.

"What? No. Please say your kidding."

"Look, I'd love to stay and chat but I've got some...business...to attend to" he says as a blonde girl wearing a barely-there dress comes up to him. They turn to walk up the stairs, his hand resting in the small of her back.

The sharp feeling in my chest that I feel is simply too painful to ignore. Luke just completely blew me off, only to go hookup with another girl! I thought he didn't do that, clearly, I am mistaken.

I slump back to the couch that we all hung out on the first time. I take a seat next to a guy with blue hair. Michael, I believe his name was.

"Hi! I'm Michael" he turns to me and said.

"Hey, I'm uh Kylie. Wasn't your hair red last week?" I faintly recall.

"Yeah it was, but I decided to switch it up. I tend to do it a lot" he informs me.

We continue on a conversation for a while, until he has to excuse himself for a refill.

Shortly after, Luke returns. He sits across from me, with that blonde still attached at his hip. As expected, he doesn't acknowledge my presence. I roll my eyes in annoyance, secretly hoping he notices.

"So, Luke, what made you get back in the game?" The shaggy haired boy, Ashton, I believe, says as he gestures to the girl next to Luke.

"Well, I though it was about time" he smirks and his eyes meet mine. I scoff and roll my eyes away. Unbelievable.

After all that we confessed to each other, this is how he decides to treat me? I thought we were building a nice friendship. Oh hell, who am I kidding? I though we were becoming something more. I'm clearly mistaken though.

My angry thoughts have been interrupted by his voice saying my name. I look up to meet him.

He walks towards me, with now a brunette clinging to him. "Just thought I'd let you know, she's number three of the night" he smirks at me am walks away as he leads the woman up to a bedroom.

•GUYS!! I'm so sorry it's been so long. My Grandpa died :( and for those of you that are sad about Zayn leaving, sorry bbys <3 but now a topic that is saddening to talk about. As some of you may have noticed, I am a H U G E Swiftie. And as you may have heard, Mama Swift has cancer 😭💔 I literally bawled when I heard. I will never understand why the worst things happen to the most beautiful of souls. So, even if you don't like Taylor, please pray (if you do) for Andrea. She's brought so much light into the Swiftie fandom and so much light an hope into my life itself. She will beat cancer. I know she will. But please, a small prayer a day will help. I'm heartbroken and wish the best to Taylor and her family during this time. I love you guys ❤️❤️~Erin•
