Baekhyun took up his responsibility as Eunji's fiance to stay with her. All he did was stayed up overnight to just watch Eunji breathing

Baekhyun squeezed her hand in his palms

Baekhyun-The doctor keeps telling me to brace myself if anything happened to you. But I won't fall for that. I know you will wake up soon, for everyone who is currently waiting for you. Especially our son. I know you are strong

It had been one week but Eunji still hadn't regained her consciousness yet. The doctor stated that her condition was not so appealing. She had 50-50 percent between life and death. They were told to be prepared for any possibilities

Baekhyun-Today is our wedding day, but there is no bride

He sniffled

Baekhyun-I'm sorry I failed to protect you. I'm sorry

Suddenly, Baekhyun felt Eunji's fingers moving in his hand

Baekhyun-Eunji?

Her eyes fluttered open

He rang the bell. A doctor and a staff nurse came not long after that. After a thorough examination, the doctor said Eunji's condition was now stable

They would come back tomorrow for an overall check up and decided whether Eunji could be discharged or otherwise

Eunji-How long have I been here?
Baekhyun-Exactly a week
Eunji-That was too long. What about Seojun?
Baekhyun-He is with your parents. Sometimes I take turn to look after him while your mother stays here with you

Eunji-Look after him means, Seojun stayed at your place? Usually he takes time to get close to someone new
Baekhyun-Of course we are close, I am his father

Baekhyun smiled

Eunji-You know?
Baekhyun-I do
Eunji-I didn't mean to keep it from you. I'm sorry

He caressed Eunji's cheek gently

Baekhyun kissed Eunji's hand softly. They looked at each other, giving out the softest smile. Both could feel love in this room

Sunjeong-They are on the way here Seojun

Baekhyun-We are home...

Seojun jumped off from the couch and ran to the entrance, screaming

Seojun-Mommy!!!

Eunji hugged her son tightly. Words couldn't describe how much she missed Seojun and everyone else

Seojun-I missed you so much
Eunji-I missed you so much too
Seojun-Are you still sick?
Eunji-Not anymore, that's why I can discharge from the hospital

She ruffled Seojun's hair

Baekhyun-Eunji, you stay here with mom, dad and Seojun okay? I will be going home to change

Seojun held Eunji's hand as they walked to the living room. Sunjeong got up from her seat, hugging Eunji

Sunjeong-It's good to see you again
Eunji-Thanks mom. I'm fine now

Jaeyoung-I'm so sorry. Please forgive me
Eunji-I never blamed you dad. It was my fault too
Jaeyoung-I missed you so much

Eunji hugged her father and sobbed in his arms. Their relationship in the past three years had always been stern. Hopefully today would put an end to the cold war

Seojun shuffled into his room to get clean. Eunji sat on the couch, grabbed the remote control and turned on the TV

Eunji-I.., I don't. It just popped up when I switched it on. Hmm, did you bring food?

She immediately changed the topic

Baekhyun held Eunji's hand and walked her to the kitchen. He assisted her to sit down. Eunji's wound was not fully healed yet, she needed to be extra careful with it

Baekhyun shoved his hand in the air. Eunji puffed her lips. Baekhyun served the food on the counter. They sat and talked while waiting for Seojun to join them

Baekhyun-I know, our plan to get married had always come from my side. I was being a push-over since the beginning. I told you do to this and that, I didn't let you decide on your own. So now, I want you so make your own choice. What you want, and don't want

Eunji-I don't quite understand
Baekhyun-About the wedding, I want you to stop worrying about it. We can postpone it for as long as you want. Or maybe, if you want to call it off, I totally understand. I won't be mad, I know I was wrong all along

Eunji chuckled

Eunji-I just told mom that we would hold it as soon as possible

Baekhyun frowned

Baekhyun-Really?

Eunji nodded in return

Baekhyun-Will you marry me?
Eunji-Yes, I will

Baekhyun got up from his chair and walked towards Eunji. She caught his waist, pulled him closer. Baekhyun leant in to kiss her lips tenderly
