Ink's, not so up-hill, life

1- This Is Just The Start

   It was a normal start to the day for Ink. Wake up, get dressed, say hello to Blue, avoid Dream as much as possible, and head to the Doodle Sphere to start his work.

   When he got to the Doodle Sphere, he looked at all the AUs in front of him. Lately, just looking at the AUs gives him a feeling of dread. It's his job to protect the AUs and help the creators, but it hasn't felt quite right for a while now.

   It all started about four months ago.

   It started like every other day, but that didn't last long. He woke up at the same time he has for the past ten years. Tiredly getting out of bed and walking to his bathroom. After that, he changed and slowly walked down the stairs. He looked over to the living room couch only to see Blueberry sitting on it.

   " Good morning Blue!"

   Blue looked up from the comic he was reading and smiled at Ink.

   " Heya Ink! I made some breakfast burritos if you want some! They are on the dining table."

   Ink walked over to the table and picked up one of the warm burritos and took a bite.

   " Wow Blue, your cooking is getting really good!"

   " Gee, thanks Ink!"

   Ink looked around for a moment.

   " Hey Blue, have you seen Dream at all this morning?"

   " Hmmm... No, I don't think so. But now that you mention it, it is pretty weird that he left so early. I wonder if something happened?"

   " Yeah... Well anyway, I have to go to the Doodle Sphere. See you later Blue!"

   " Have a good day Ink!"

   Ink then took out Broomie and opened a portal and hopped in.

   The moment Ink entered the Doodle Sphere, something was wrong. He looked at the AUs, fear slowly filling his body. It was clear that someone else had entered the Doodle Sphere without Ink knowing. Ink knew this because the AUs had been tampered with. It wasn't a lot of them, but enough to make Ink worry. A group of AUs seemed to have collided. And because of that, they were collapsing. Ink moved quickly to contain the collapsing AUs so it wouldn't spread to any others. But unfortunately, he wasn't able to save any of the collapsing AUs. He took a sigh and pulled out his list of AUs and timelines. He looked through the list, looking for any crossed out AUs and timelines.

   This is one of the times Ink was thankful for his 'creation magic'. He had made this notebook with a list of all the AUs, but it made Ink's work easier in a number of ways. It shows what AUs are in danger by highlighting the AUs name and if he hovered over it, he could see the exact timeline that is in danger. If an AU is still being made, the name will be underlined. And the feature that is useful for Ink's current situation, is when an AU timeline is destroyed. The name of the AU will be crossed out and the notebook will tell Ink what timeline was destroyed.

   As Ink was looking for the crossed out names, he failed to notice the portal that had appeared behind him. Also failing to notice the person and their aura of rage.

   " Ah! There they are. Okay so, we lost, hmm... 1, 2, 3, 4... hmmm. 28 AUs! Wow, I thought it was more. Oh well, it will be an easy fix-"

   Before Ink could finish talking to himself, he was whipped around by a short man with a... less than pleased expression.

   " Oh, hey Dream-"

   " How in the HELL did you manage to fuck up so badly, that you managed to completely destroy 28 WHOLE AUS!"
