Adopted by a Giant

Alone

Alec was by himself for 8 years.... His parents were killed by giants in the woods..... and he never found his way out of those woods so he lived there ever since.

Alec: Time to get food

He packed his fishing rod and weapons looked both ways for giants and headed out. He arrived to the lake and cast his fishing pole out.

5 hours later

It had been 5 hours and there was still nothing just like yesterday. The giants had been catching fish faster then they could reproduce so there were barely any. He started back home in defeat.

That night he couldn't sleep he was to hungry and to cold to sleep. He cryed and wished it was the way it used to be when his parents were alive. He wished he would have just died with them. Sometimes he wondered why he still trys he hasn't had food in 5 days he was going to die anyways...

A few hours later sleep finally found him but it wasn't a peaceful sleep it was a hard nightmare filled sleep.

The next day he was so tired and hungry. He felt so weak... he started to head for the lake but on the way he collapsed out and he knew it was time...he slowly closed his eyes.....

Giant Pov:

I was walking towards the lake when I heard a tiny thump I looked around to see what happened and saw a little human boy he looked exhausted he was just laying there. I turned him over and....his ribs were sticking out his stomach caved in poor thing was starving... He was still breathing though I checked his pulse it was really slow....He was dieing...

I carefully scooped him up in my hand and carried him to my house. I set him on my bed. He needed to get something down so made some soup. I opened his mouth a little and put some soup in and thankfully he was drinking it.

I felt the need to protect him and take care of him.... I set up a chair by the bed and examined him carefully. He was about 5 feet tall, he had strawberry blonde hair gathered in a ponytail, he was wearing brown rags which I will fix when he wakes up.
Now only problem...how to keep him calm....

Alec Pov:

I woke up to warmth and a fluffy surface and I wasn't starving anymore....

Alec: Is this what heaven feels like....am I on a cloud

I said still half asleep and then I heard loud but soft chuckling which woke me all the way up I realized where I was.... it wasn't heaven infact quite the opposite.... My worst fear had come true....

I was on a giant bed and across the room looking right at me was a giant I scrambled back against the headboard. I  couldn't pace my breathing I was hyperventilating. Who knows what he will do with me.... he could eat me or torture me or-

A sudden voice broke through my thoughts

???: Hey calm down your hyperventilating.....deep breaths....look around and assess the situation....your alive your not hurt and your no longer starving your okay....

As much as I hate to admit it he was right....I was alive and okay....he fed me and..... he saved my life.......I started to calm down and pace my breathing....

I was calmer but still terrified and it doesn't mean I trust him....this could be a trick just so he can see me suffer for himself.....

???: See your okay your safe...

He slowly began to ease closer.....this was it I know it....no giant is this nice... I closed my eyes and prepared for the pain I would endure.....but...

A finger gently brushed through my hair and was gently stroking my head....I  peeked my eyes open slowly he was standing there with a warm smile on his face.....

Now that I look at him.....he doesn't look like a monster.....he looks human....despite the size.....he has shiny brown hair, bright blue eyes, and other human features....

I also haven't felt affection since my parents died...so I leaned into the soft touch and hugged the finger....I began to cry I've been alone I forgot what it felt like to be touched so warm and comforting.....

He rubbed my back with his thumb and I didn't back away I soaked up every second of it I was so touch starved....it felt nice to have someone to hug...

???: It's alright buddy I promise you'll never be alone again and I will try to give you the life you deserve...

Alec: I broke down at those words having someone to love and care for me that's all I've ever wanted..... if this was a dream I didn't want it to end I buried my face in his finger.

Alec: t-thank you....

???: Awe your welcome bud I promise to protect and take care of you....You got a name buddy?

Alec: A-alec...

???: I'm Ethan.

Alec: Can I c-call you dad?

Ethan Pov:

My heart melted when he said that... he wanted to call me dad.... I teared up

Ethan: Of course you can call me dad buddy...

I picked him up and hugged him to my chest I felt him hug back. I had a son.... a tiny life in my hands.....and I loved him from the first time I saw him (not in that way -_- you know what I'm talking about)

Alec Pov:

I hugged him tight for fear that this wasn't real... I could hear his heartbeat and soft breathing and I closed my eyes. I made the decision to trust him and I drifted off to sleep from the sound of his heartbeat and all the heat radiating off of him. I think I made a good choice....
