-I'm sure he is.- said Andreas

Thaila thought of him running back, trying to come back to her. Safely, he was running through trees trying to get to her

-Uh, father?- Thaila cleared her throat

-Yes, my dear?- Andreas looked at Thaila

-I need new clothes, corsets, dresses, shoes.- said Thaila

-Oh yes, I almost forgot. Check under your bed.- said Andreas, pointing under the table

She walked to her bed, but instead of laying on the floor and seeing what's in there she got on her bed and went upside down to see.

-Oh yeah. I see a bag.- said Thaila

And just when she saw it, she got a little excited and moved, which made her fall on the floor with her head.

-Ouch. I'm okay.- she said

-Haha okay.- laughed her father

-So, I will try each and you will have to rate them from one to ten. Okay?- said Thaila

-Okay.- said Andreas

As she went back in her house, to the little room with clothes in, she quickly put on a white under-dress, then a red corset and on top a red dress. She looked beautiful. She quickly put black shoes and went outside. When her father looked at her, he started crying. Happy tears escaped his eyes and his mouth was in a shape of smiling. 'His little princess grew up'.

-Awh, father, don't cry. What would happen when I will get married?- asked Thaila with a soft smile on her face

-Don't even think about it!- said Andreas, laughing

-Why? I want to marry the guy of my dreams, just like my mother did.- said Thaila

-You soft little bunny!- said her father while going for a hug

Bunnies were Thaila's favorite animals. She was really strong and mature for her age, but also really soft for something that she loved.

-Don't call me that! I am now older, stronger and not someone that will jump around about small little things!- said Thaila with an attitude

-Okay, okay! Go on and try the other dresses, I really want to see how they look on you.- said Andreas

The next dress was also beautiful. She put on a creamy-white under-dress, with a sky-blue dress and white corset on top. The shoes were creamy-white, and everything just looked flawless together. As she walked out of the room, her father almost cried again, but he held his tears this time. And every other dress she tried was looking perfect on her, like they were made for her.

-Father, I have a question.- said Thaila

-Go on.- said Andreas

-How could you buy all these dresses and other stuff?- asked Thaila

-Oh, uhm- just from a friend I made there.- he lied

He didn't want to put her in danger. If he told her, she would be in huge danger. He didn't want to lose another person he loved.

-Father! Do I look stupid to you? Just tell me the truth! I promise I will not get mad.- said Thaila, trying to convince her father

He couldn't hide this from her anymore. He decided to tell her.

-Well, my dear. First, I want you to calm down.- said Andreas

-I am. Go on.- said Thaila

-Your mother is not dead. She is alive, and I know where she is.- said her father, now feeling rocks falling out of his chest

'W-What??? My mother is alive. Where is she? Is she safe? Did she leave me?' Those questions filled Thaila's mind

-She is safe, and left you for your own safety too. We can't visit her, but I have a note that she sent me about a week ago.- said Andreas

-Can I please see it?- asked Thaila

-Of course, here.- said her father, handing her a little note he took from his pocket of his pants

"Andreas, my love

I saw Thaila today, she was supposed to get tortured by me, but I couldn't do it, I tried to save her and I did. She got in trouble because she got caught hiding with a boy and the boy ran away from the guards. So I had to do double torture on her. When the guards left and we were alone, I untied her and got her out of the city. I winked at her and she winked me back. I can't believe how beautiful our daughter is, my love. Stay safe, and take care of our daughter. When I will be able to run away, I will send you a note.

The mother of your beautiful daughter, Colette"

She started crying, she couldn't believe that the lady that saved her was actually her mother. All this time, her mother was alive. Her father faked emotions, just for their own good and safety. And she wasn't mad, not at all. She was really happy that at least her mother was alive.

-But father, why did she join the city?- asked Thaila

-Well, all these clothes, everything we have, is thanks to her. The dresses were a gift from her.- said Andreas

-Last question. How can you send notes to each other?- asked Thaila

-Well, there is a woman that works as assistant to your mother and she is involved in everything. She sends the notes, your mother's notes to me and my notes to your mother.- said her father

-Mhm. Okay.- said Thaila, thinking if there was a woman near the tree, where she almost got tortured.

Just when she finished thinking, she realised it's sunset...
