'Bing, bing, bing'
"Whoooooooooohooooooo!"
The bell rings and the kids go crazy. In my whole 10 years of school, I'd never seen kids so excited. Well that's not entirely true, but I'd never seen them show it so much.. It was probably because of the carnival that was happening tonight. It hadn't been on before, so this is the first night of the public opening. Not many kids were too excited about the carnival at first, but then we found out that there was gonna be rides, and then later on we found out that there was gonna be a band playing. It was announced at the start of the week so none of the girls, excluding me, would stop talking about it. The boys were warring earmuffs in every class, just too get them to stop talking about how One Direction were coming and were gonna be signing autographs and stuff like that.
I was one among the boys earmuffs gang.
I shoved my books into my once ,bright blue bag that I had hid under the table. due to the rules of not being allowed to have your bag in class. So many stupid rules these days. And walked to the door.

I jumped out of the classroom with a thud, then turned to see what was bringing the huge crowd I could see forming.
I was at average height for my age but a lot of the other kids got their growth spurts early, so it wasn't easy to see over them.
I pushed and shoved until I got to the front. I sunk to the ground, leaning on my lnees, so kids wouldn't yell at me for being in there way.
"Alex!" My head snapped as I heard someone yell my name.
"Alex!" They yelled again giving me their identity I hadn't worked out from afar.
It wasn't long until my hour without my, annoying, best friends was gonna end.
"Alex. What's upppp!" She squealed into my ear. Her big smile spreading across her olive toned face.
"So I'm guessing it went well then." I smiled cheekily.
"Ohmygod yeah! He's taking me out tonight!" She couldn't stop squealing.
"Took you guys long enough." I laughed.
"Not my fault he was shy." she said like she was innocent.
"You sorta are for this reason." I smile.
"Can't help it your so pretty!" Al turned up from behind a group of people watching what now is an egg splattering contest.
"So how'd it go with you?" Al asked me, flicking his soft brown hair mixed with blond highlights, away from his face.
"What do you mean?" I try to say, obliviously.
"Oh c'mon!" Tara said as she raised her eyebrows. "I thought you were gonna ask him out!"
"Me!" I shook my head. "I'm not, was never gonna ask him out... I mean look at him!" I pointed to one of the boys throwing eggs in the middle of the oval. His pitch black hair blowing in the light breeze made the butterflies in my stomached go crazy.
"But I thought you liked him!"
"I do, but he doesn't like me, he's got Alecia and Kiely."
"But they're not you." Al smiled. he always found away to make me happy.
"But I'm not pretty." I explain.
"Oh yeah!" Tara said as if she just realised. "That's right... your beauitiful!" She squealed again with her eyes widened.
"Ver funny." I said sarcastically.
"Albeit Zeke will ask you out tonight at the carnival." Al said.
"Ugh... your still making me go!"
"Hmmmm!"
Tara was very different from me, so I really didn't understand how we were friends. She loved One Direction, whereas I preferred LINKIN Park. She loved dresses, whereas I loved leggings or easy to move in jeans. She loved shopping, whereas I was more sporty, I was a lot like one of my other friends out of school.
, Alana.
"I don't know why you want me there. You two will either ignore me or end up on a Ferris wheel making out." I gave a smug look seeing both of there cheeks turn red. I looked back to the oval where I could see Zeke's Amber eyes Looking straight at me.
My first instincts were to look away, but the gaze still held.

They had finished there little egg fight and he was heading my way. When he reached about a metre away from me, I stood up. He opened his mouth to say something, but then it was left open to catch flies due to Tara's oblivion and the urge to get seats at the back of the bus. She couldn't have walked any faster. She was dying to get home to start getting ready. I took a peek at him just as we were boarding the bus. He hadn't moved but his head was turned in our direction. The sun caught his tanned skin reminding me of the beach, one of my favourite places in Summer.
