The next day Coach Bombay wanted everyone to meet up at the Diner to hang out for a while. Peyton was about to leave with Charlie until she got a text from Adam, Charlie already knew that her and Adam were dating, and he was happy for them.

A few minutes later they heard a knock on the door. Peyton opened the door to see Adam. "Hey" He says. "Hey" She replied back. "Charlie, come on let's go" She yells at her brother. They all walk to the Diner together. They walk in and see everyone sitting at a booth. The 3 join everyone else. They laugh and have a lot of fun. Adam had his arm around Peyton's shoulder the whole time they were there. The only person that noticed it was Connie. After about 3 hours of talking, eating, playing games, and dancing, everyone decided it was time to go home. Adam, Charlie and Peyton walked home together. "So... you two are a thing now?" Charlie questions. "Yes Charlie" Peyton replies kind of annoyed. "You better treat her well Banks." Charlie says in a protective way. Peyton rolls her eyes at her twin. "I will Charlie" Adam replies making Peyton smile. They tell each other their goodbyes and walk inside to their houses. Peyton goes to her room while Charlie stays downstairs with their parents. Peyton was about to text Adam when she saw a text from Connie.

Peyton called Connie. "Hey, what's wrong?" Peyton asks her best friend. "ARE YOU AND ADAM A THING?!" Connie practically yells into the phone. "Jeez, I think you just broke my eardrum" Peyton replies to her friend. "Sorry, but answer the question" Connie says in a serious tone. "I'll tell you, if you tell me if you and Guy are a thing" Peyton says to Connie. "Fine, yes, we are a thing, now answer my question" Connie says way more serious this time. "Yes we are a thing, how did you figure that out?" Peyton asks. "He had his arm around you literally the WHOLE time at the Diner." Connie replies. "Oh, well, yes we are so, yea" Peyton replies. "Wait, when did this happen?" Connie questions. "Yesterday" Peyton replies. "AND YOUR JUST NOW TELLING ME?!" Connie yells into the phone again. "Con, you gotta stop yelling into the phone, and I didn't tell you yesterday because it didn't happen till later that night" Peyton replies once again. "Oh okay, well I gotta go, byeeee" Connie says. "Bye" Peyton replies to Connie. Peyton hangs up the phone and sighs. She goes downstairs to see her mother and father looking at her. "Uh, why are y'all staring at me?" Peyton questions. "Do you have a boyfriend?" Her father asks. "Okay, I'm not dealing with this right now." Peyton says as she starts to walk back up the stairs. "Young lady, get back down here" Her father says sternly. "I'm good" Peyton claps back. Their father goes over and grabs Peyton's wrist causing her to wince. "Answer the damn question" Her father says a little bit more quiet. "Dad, let go" Peyton tries to pull away only for her dad to grip tighter. "Answer the question" He says more sternly. "Fine, yes" Peyton finally answers. "Who?" Her father asks tightening his grip. "Ow, dad stop, let go" Peyton says. "ANSWER THE QUESTION GOD DAMMIT" Her father yells at her causing her to start crying. "A-Adam" She says quietly. "WHO?!" Her father yells once again. "Adam" She says a little bit more loud. "ADAM BANKS?!" Her father says even more mad. If there was anything her father didn't like, it was Adam. Why? She didn't know, he just had this hatred for him. "Yes, A-Adam B-Banks" Peyton replies. Peyton's father tightens his grip on his daughter. "Break up with him." Her father says to her. "What?" She questions. "BREAK UP WITH HIM" Her father yells. "F-fine" she says. "Right now, go" Her father says. Peyton goes over to Adam's house, She wasn't gonna break it off with Adam though, she couldn't, she loved him to much. Instead of breaking up with him, she decided she would go over there and tell him what happened.

She arrived at Adam's house and knocked on the door. Adam opened the door to see a crying Peyton. "Omg Peyton what happened?" He asks concerned. "M-my dad" Peyton says. He pulls her into a hug. "Come in and tell me what happened." He tells her. They walk up to his room, they both sit on the bed, facing each other. "tell me what happened" Adam says to his girlfriend. "My dad somehow figured out that I was dating someone and he flipped out, he grabbed my wrist and he asked who I was dating and when I told him it was you, he tightened his grip on my wrist and told me to come break up with you." She says trying to hold back tears. "Omg Peyton, I'm so sorry" Adam says pulling her into a hug. "Is there a scar?" Adam asks. "What?" Peyton asks. "From him grabbing you, is there a scar?" He asks again. She nods her head and rolls up her sleeve, revealing a ring around her wrist and a bunch of previous scars. "Omg" The boy says shocked. "You are staying here tonight" Adam tells the girl. "Adam, I can't do that" Peyton tries to explain. "Peyton, I'm not letting you go back there tonight, I can't have you getting hurt, I won't, I love you to much to watch you get hurt, I can't do it Peyton." Adam explains. " I know Adam, but if I don't go back, I will only get hurt worse in the morning." Peyton explains. "Fine, but you are coming back here tomorrow morning." Adam says seriously. "Okay." Peyton says. "Do you promise to come back tomorrow morning?" Adam asks. "Yes I promise." Peyton says. "Okay, I love you Peyton, I hate watching you get hurt." Adam admits. "I know and I love you to Banksie." Peyton admits. "Oh, a new nickname I see." Adam says. "Yea" Peyton says while chuckling. Peyton has her arms around Adam's neck while Adam's hands are wrapped around her hips. "I like it" He admits. "Good" She says. "Okay, I should go" Peyton says. "Okay bye" Adam says. They give each other a kiss before Peyton leaves. "I love you" Adam says. "Love you too Banksie" She says.
