Bakugou Kaori's pov.
I looked on as they lowered the coffin into the grave, my lips trembling and my fist clenched. What's the point of lowering an empty grave? Why is everyone here acting like its NORMAL to lower an EMPTY grave?! I hate it here. My lips began to tremble. Tears threatened to fall from my (e/c) eyes. Kiyoshi noticed and walked over, enveloping me into a hug, gently stroking my shoulder length ash blonde hair. "Let it all out Kaori, let it all out" he softly whispered. I began to sob uncontrollably. Kiyoshi's black shirt was damp in a matter of seconds. Pulling myself away from him, I apologised for staining his clothes. "It's ok baby sis." he replied, wiping stray tears from my face. "I got the suit from nanna - it was dad's old one from his UA days and I rarely even wear this shirt, since I don't go to many funerals", he continued. "This will probably be the last time I gonna have to wear it anyw-."
"Kids." a gruff voice called out. We looked over to the source of the voice and saw our dishevelled dad, Bakugou Katsuki, his crimson eyes tired and his ash blonde hair and beard unkempt. I gave my dad a worried look when I realised he had cuts all over his face and his cheeks were bright red and tear stained. I've never seen my dad cry before.
"Dad, are u o-"
"It's time." he interrupted, blatantly ignoring my question and walking away and over to the edge of the coffin. Taken aback, I clenched my jaw and walked behind Kiyoshi as he walked over to where our dad stood. Once all three of us were in our places, our father crouched down and picked up a mound of dirt and took a deep breath before throwing it onto the coffin. Once the dirt hit the coffin, my dad moved away from us and stood beside his best friend, Uncle Kiri, our godfather. Uncle Kiri placed a soft hand on my dad's shoulder and my dad immediately burst into tears, his face hidden by his unruly ash blonde hair. My eyes widened as dad pushed Uncle Kiri's hand away with force and left the graveyard, creating explosions in the air whilst screaming obscenities at anyone in his way.
As I watched dad leave, I heard a sniffle. I looked over to Kiyoshi who was cradling a mound of dirt, his hands trembling as he mustered up the willpower to throw it onto the coffin. He turned to stare at me, his crimson eyes wide and afraid. "I can't do thi-" he started to wail, backing away from the grave's edge as he began to fervently shake his head, his ash blonde hair bouncing as he did so. I stared at him, suddenly realising how similar and different dad and Kiyoshi were; they looked identical, but that was where the similarities ended. Dad's personality was akin to nanna's. Kiyoshi's personality was, well, just like her. Our mama.
I was taken out of my thoughts by nanna's voice. She was next to Kiyoshi, rubbing his back and whispering words of encouragement. After a couple of minutes, Kiyoshi was able to throw the mound into the grave. I felt all eyes on me as Kiyoshi walked away with nanna to stand with the rest of the crowd. It was my turn now.
As I watched my mound of dirt fall into the grave, I whispered "I love you mama", my (e/c) eyes welling up as I did so. Unable to stare at the grave for any longer, I ran over to my grandpa, Bakugou Masaru and hugged him tightly as the grave was filled up. "I'm gonna miss you mama".
third person pov
Meanwhile...
The woman sat curled up in the corner of a damp basement, burying her head in her lap as she tried to stifle her tears. Her hands and feet were tied up with rope that made her skin itch and burn. It hurt so much. "I've been trapped down here for hours. What do they want from me?" she thought. "Why did they call me Megumi? I'm not a goddess" she scoffed at her new name. "I won't be of any use to them because I'm quirkless."
Her teeth chattered and her hands shook. "It must be the med withdrawal" she muttered.
Trying to distract herself from her worsening condition, she decided to think about how she even got into this position in the first place. Her lip began to tremble as she recalled the last moments before she had been taken. It was a day like any other; she had woken up at 7:00 and taken her meds. Afterwards, she woke up her kids Kiyoshi and Kaori and got them ready for school. Her husband Katsuki, being the pro hero he was, had already left for work hours ago. Once she dropped off her children at school, the woman made her way to work at her husband's agency. After she'd parked her car, she made her way to the agency's entrance. That was when the chaos began.
An explosion erupted behind her as she reached the agency's doors. Before she could walk into the agency, a hand grabbed her by the waist began to drag her away. "Let me go!" she yelled, trying to escape the man's grasp.
"Shut up bitch." The man snarled. "If you weren't precious cargo, you'd be dead by now. But..." he paused as he produced a knife out of his pocket and place it on her chin. "I am allowed to leave my mark on you. So don't tempt me." The woman remained silent as she was flung into the back of a van. Whimpering, she looked out the van's rear mirrors, and she saw, well, herself.
Her eyes widened as she watched the clone of herself walk into the chaos, sticking out like a sore thumb amidst the screaming citizens trying to get away from the blown apart bodies scattered across the agencies entrance. The sound of her name being called drew her attention towards Katsuki, who had just arrived at the scene. "Y/N!" he called out again, running over to the clone. As the clone began to walk over to Katsuki, there was another explosion. Chunks of Y/N's clone's body was splattered on the pavement and on Katsuki, who's crimson eyes widened in shock as a clump of his 'wife's body' slid down his face. "NOOOO!" he screamed, looking down at his hands and seeing red. His hands began to shake and he tried to wipe the blood off, tears running down his now pallid face. The van's engine turned on and all the woman - Y/n - could do was watch as her husband broke down at the site of the explosion, frantically trying to gather the mush that was her clone's body.
The van turned a corner and she lost sight of Katsuki. Sobbing, Y/n fell down to the van's floor, trying to contain or at least muffle her sobs so she wouldn't upset and anger her kidnapper. She continued to sob for the rest of the journey. Her sobs quietened down when the van came to a halt and her kidnapper exited the van. It was quiet for a couple of minutes and Y/n was left alone with her thoughts while she waited for whatever was to come. "I didn't even get to say goodbye... Katsuki thinks I'm gone. Soon Kiyoshi, Kaori and everyone else will t-" the rear door of the van was flung open. Facing Y/n were many unfamiliar faces. In the centre of them all was a dark-haired man who had a white streak of hair and emerald green eyes, who stared at her, mesmerised. He extended his hands towards her tear-stained face, repeatedly whispering a certain word, "Megami".
Y/n looked into the man's eyes, frowning. "My name isn't Megami..." she mumbled. "It's Bakugou-"
"Bakugou Y/n is dead!" the dark-haired man snapped, causing Y/n to freeze. "You will now go by the name Megami". Y/n stared at the man in confusion, her brows furrowed.
"Megami? What do you mea-" she was cut off as a sack was pulled over her head, completely obscuring her vison. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING" she screamed in terror, her breathing turning erratic as her hands and feet were being bound together. Once she'd been tied up, she felt a sharp pierce through her arm. She howled in pain.
Soon after she'd been injected with the needle, she began to feel dizzy and her eyes fell heavy with sleep. Her head lolled back as she was temporarily sucked into a world of nothingness.
