"Then there was like 8 zombies but I killed them off easy! I turned around And there was 2 skeletons rig- Karl?" Sapnap said in confusion. "Hm?" A dazed boy responded. "Are you even listening?" Sapnap looked Karl in the eyes with worry in his own. Karl's been spacing out a lot recently and the bags under his eyes are getting worse. "Yea yea, I've been listening." Karl in fact was not listening. He actually had him mind focused on something else. "Bullshit! Karl I'm getting worried for you. You've been really distant lately and you look like shit." Sapnap said with a sad look in his eyes grabbing Karl's hand into his own rubbing it slightly with his thumb. "Sap, I just have a lot on my mind." Karl leaned his head in the crook of Sapnap's neck. He was about to cry but Sapnap would ask questions he didn't want to answer. "You should get some sleep, cmon I'll take you." Sapnap heard a groan in response from the small figure next to him. "Fine. I guess I'll just go eat all the snacks you bought and watch adventure time without you." Sapnap smiled as Karl immediately got up and smacked the boy. "Don't you dare touch my snacks you menace!" Karl grabbed Sapnap's arm and dragged him inside scolding him all the way to the bedroom. He lied down and ushered for Sapnap to come cuddle him. Sapnap jumped in bed with Karl and felt hands wrap around his torso. "Goodnight Sap." Karl closed his eyes with slight worry. "Night Karl."

Karl woke up. He was not next to Sapnap in his room. He in fact was laying very uncomfortably in a mine cart. "Damnit." He walked out of the mine shaft trying to find someone in this dusty old town.

[AN//: To know what happens watch the Wild West found on Karl's Twitch. I am too lazy to write out what exactly happens and
I may have forgotten things. The only thing that will change is the In Between part ^^]

"They all look so..familiar." Karl walked through the portal leading him to which he hoped was home every time but ended up in a White Castle. He sighed as he walked up to the book that was left for him. "Welcome back traveler. I've been waiting awhile to see you. I can't wait for you to explore more. Don't stray the path. Stay on the path." Karl read out. He placed the book back and headed forward. He found himself in the garden surrounded by replicas of himself. "This is just creepy." A glowing book caught his eye. Picking it up he read "you need to go to the portal. Go to the portal. -R" He remembered seeing a portal not long ago maybe that's what this 'R' is talking about? "Don't stray the path." Something whispered into his ear.

"Who do I listen to? Who do I trust?"

//And that wraps up the first chapter. I hope you liked it. Let me know if I need to make any changes and I'll try to fix it.
