The stars have granted my wishes

Immys POV

It's been about a month since I saw Adam.

I'm not gonna lie. It's been hard, real hard.

I hear his voice over the phone and I can tell it's changed slightly, deeper yet smoother in a way? Whatever it is it turns me on...

We call every night, talk about our day, how much we miss each other, random facts that pop into our head. While long distance is hard and incredibly frustrating, I can say that our conversations are still just as enthralling as ever.

We never run out of things to talk about.

I'm starring at my roof, thinking about Adam and what he might look like now, when my mother yells at me to come down stairs.

My relationship with my parents has gotten better, they still are workaholics but I can tell they make an effort to get to know me more, they even ask about Adam and how he is. I think they can tell how frustrated and upset I am about missing him.

I'm glad they take my feeling seriously instead of excusing it at "puppy love."

"Hey what's up, Mum?" I say casually as I swing into the kitchen with my arm grasping the end of the stair railing.

Her back is turned and the phone is pressed against her ear. She whips around to face me, a massive grin on her lips.

I've never really seen that smile on her much, I assume it must be some work promotion. But why would she call me down for that? Maybe she's just really excited and wants to tell me because I'm the only one home.

She rushes over to me, "It's for you!" She beams,

Me? Well scratch the promotion idea.

"Hello? This is Imogen," I say into the phone, trying to hide my confusion towards my Mum's behaviour.

"Hello Imogen! My name is Dean Buckley, I'm the Dean of Eden Hall Academy. How are you?" a voice of a man replies, although still confused, I answer,

"Uh-I'm good, thank you. May I ask what this is all about?" I question further, my mother clasps her hands under her chin and grins at me like chucky's bride

"Of course! Since Team USA, sorry excuse me, The Mighty Ducks, did such an amazing Job at the Junior Goodwill Games, I'm inviting you all to attend Eden Hall Academy on a sports scholarship for the rest of your high school careers!"

I almost drop the phone.

A massive smile erupts on my face that almost matches my mothers.

"Oh my gosh!! That's amazing! Uh-I I don't even know what to say! Thank you so much!" I almost scream into the phone with joy.

The man chuckles lightly, "No, no! Thank you for agreeing to my offer!"

My smile drops suddenly, "Sorry sir, did you say the whole mighty ducks team was offered a scholarship?"

I feel my heart pounding in my chest,

"Yes! Well, that is if they accept my offer of course! Now, I will send you a letter with all the details of what you'll require to dorm here..."

Dorm?!!!??

"...and any other important information. You'll be due to start here at the beginning of the school semester in a few weeks! I'll see you then Imogen!"

He hangs up the phone.

"I GOT A SCHOLARSHIP MUM!!" I scream and jump into her arms,

"I know baby!!! Oh I'm so proud of you!" She cries and grasps both my cheeks in her hands, kissing my forehead.

"I have to call Adam!" I squeal and she laughs at me as I run up the stares,

I dial the number I learnt off by heart and he picks up before the first ring finishes.

"I was just about to call you!" He laughs,

Ugh that laugh melts my heart...

"So you heard!?"

"Eden Hall!!" He beams with excitement,

"And the dorms!" I smile brightly,

"Looks like I'll be seeing you very soon, princess, and a lot more frequently too.." I can practically hear the smirk in his voice,

"In a few weeks I'll finally be able to see you," I whisper to myself more than to him,

"I know baby! I hope I don't scare you away to much, I have gotten pretty sexy since the last time you saw me," He jokes which brings a smile to my face,

Oh Adam, at least your humour is still the same.

"Hey, who's to say I haven't gotten sexier too!" I rebut,

He chuckles lightly, "I don't doubt that you have, Immy...."

We say in silence, no doubt he's smiling just as much as I am.

He sighs contently on the other end, "Hey, I gotta go, Mum wants the phone to call everyone in her contacts about my scholarship," He laughs,

Classic Mrs Banks.

"Okay, Adam." I say sweetly, biting my lip.

"I'll call you later tonight, Princess,"

"Byeeeeeeee." I draw out, and the line ends.

I flop on my bed and stare at the ceiling, the phone held close to my chest.

I can't believe that just happened. I'm actually going to see him again. This isn't just a dream anymore.

I get up and face my floor length mirror, taking in my appearance.

I do look different from when he last saw me.

My body has matured slightly; my boobs are bigger but I'm still the same height. My face looks older; cheek bones and jawline ever so slightly more prominent. I'm slightly more tanned from the sun and my hair is a tad lighter.

I wonder if he'll notice all these things?

I wonder how much he has changed too?
