The Powers Within Nightmares

Chapter 2

"It's sucks we can't be roommate but luckily I'm right next door." Tabitha pouts "I know! Can you help decorate, please? I hate these dusty old curtains" I hold one of the black curtains on my hand "know any decorating spells?" I ask Tabitha. She laughs at me "Yes of course, I just need inspiration". I open my suitcase and pull out my laptop I sit on the bed and tap next to me for Tabitha to sit next to me "come pick what you like. I pull up a website on pictures of bedrooms "ooh yes I love that, I'll pick this one" I point to a grunge fairy themed photo, she pulls out her wand and taps the photo with it and flicks it out to the room almost immediately the room fills with sparkles and then looks exactly like the photo. I clap my hands together "I love it, it's perfect" I run and jump on my bed it's almost like sleep on clouds it so comfortable I close my eyes "Don't fall asleep yet we have our first class soon" Tabitha says from her side of the room. I get up from the bed and make my way to my closet my school uniform is hanging up and the fresh smell is amazing. I get dressed and leave my room "hey you ready" I hear Tabitha call out from the bottom of the stairs. I make my way down the stairs catching up to Tabitha "omg why did you just bump into me, you should watch where you are going or watch your back darkie" I stop in my tracks and snap my neck to see Xia with Oliva in her face "I'm sorry-" "NO! you don't get to say you're sorry, you and your kind keep thinking you can take what's not yours and I'm sick of it I want you out all of you-" Oliver has coffee. I can't stand Oliva and all I see is red, I slap her I the face and everyone gasps "There is nothing I hate more than a racist, Now apologise!" she gives me an angry look and then smiles "oh you have done it now sky" she shoves me and then start to walk away, I pull her hair before she does "Excuse me bitch this isn't over, your trash and I'm going to make you sorry. I'm not going to ask again apologise" she yells and looks at me then to Xia "I'm sorry" she rolls her eyes and looks back at me "for nothing" she slaps me back. Oliva puts on a fake posh walk and walked away "Are you okay?" Xia asks me "I'm fine, are you okay?" "Yeah, on course I am, it happens all the time" she explains "Well it shouldn't" I tell her "Sky are you ready for your first Transfiguration class?".

I walk into class and sit down in the middle row of my first class. "Hey there" I look up and see Michael sitting next to me putting a pencil in his mouth "H- hey" I studder "Want to be study partners?" Michael questions "Um- Me? How do I know you're going to actually do your shit and not mess around; I can't take that chance" I say to him he laughs "take a chance on me?" I laugh "Ok fine but I can change my mind at any time" I look into his golden eyes "ok sure, your very assured aren't you" he questions "I try to be babe" he laughs again "Babe? Wow pet names already?' he smiles at me, and I melt, gosh he has an amazing smile. The professor gets started into the lesson and explains that the seats we have chosen are what we are staying in for the year. As the lesson keeps going Michael and I continue having conversations "What's your next class?" Michael asks "I have a free and we are spending it together"

The lesson ends, Michael and I make our way to the Slytherin common room "Hey Sky" Tabitha calls over from where she is sitting on the couches she is accompanied by Xia who is sitting on the floor with her laptop sitting on the coffee table and an Hufflepuff who is sitting on some green beanbags "This is Malic, we met him in Herbology" Malic waves with one hand and is holding a stick insect across his chest in the other "OMG! Is that a real Bowtruckle?" I widen my eyes and sit down next to Malic. As soon as I sit the Bowtruckle scampers away up Malics shirt to hide under his collar "don't mind TBA he is extremely shy" "I'm not going to take that personally" I smile towards TBA and sit on the unoccupied couch "Hey Sky who's your friend" Tabitha points at Michael who is standing there awkwardly, this is the first time I have seen him not be confident "Oh guys this is Michael, we met in my last class" they all wave to him and he instantly looks relived "Hey what are we all talking about?" he jumps on the couch next to me. We all engage in conversation and giggling our heads off, the group has taken a liking to both Malic and Michael, though I can see that Tabitha keeps looking at Malic sweetly every time he says something. Xia is still typing away at her laptop "Xia... earth to Xia" Tabitha waves her hand in front of her laptop, she lifts her head up and stops typing "Huh, sorry I really need to get this done if I want to get my A" Xia is writing a book for her dissertation on youth crime, I love the fact she wants to become a social worker just as Xia goes back to her typing Oliva pours her drink on her laptop. The laptop fizzers and crackles "Hey!" Tabitha shouts Oliva starts giggling "Oops I'm just clumsy" before I can stand up and give her a piece of my mind, Michael grabs me by the waist gently, I pause and look directly in his eyes it has caught me off guard. Michael does a small smile "don't. It's not worth it" he whispers. Olivia walks away giggling "Fuck!" Xia picks up her laptop and the liquid falls out onto the floor "now what the hell am I going to do! Shit anyone got paper?" Xia is panicking "Xia is okay you can use my laptop" I stand and start going towards the stairway to my room "Wait up Sky ill come with you" Tabitha calls out.
