Y/N POV

As soon as the alarm went off at 8:30 in the morning, I turned the other way: I had to admit that apart from the uninviting appearance of the beds made of cardboard, they were damn comfortable, and ecological.

With one hand I rubbed my eyes and slowly sat up, turning my head towards the balcony. Still wearing the Team GB pajamas, I decided to go outside and get some fresh air.

The previous night had been truly magical:

From performances to enhance sport during Covid-19, to some dances and the raising of the Olympic circles, up to the parade in Japanese alphabetical order and official lighting of the Olympic torch, thus giving the real start to the Olympic Games. That was truly an unforgettable experience that I will always carry with me, moreover like that of Rio 2016.

Looking at the view in front of me, I began to observe the chaotic streets of the Olympic village, and inevitably the building dedicated to Team USA: that evening we had to go to see the USWNT match against New Zealand and everything I could think about were some moments spent in high school. Although I had initially chosen to undertake Biathlon, up to then arrive at Pentathlon, football had remained a sport that had always attracted me, so much that I occasionally took part in some competitions at school. With the excuse of the Pentathlon, however, I increasingly had to leave my circle of friends, dedicating body and soul almost exclusively to my sport.

- Have you finished contemplating the United States building? I remind you that we have a workout to start, but above all I remind you that if we don't do it, Marian will kick our ass! - Jamie's voice woke me up from my long chain of thoughts and moving them away, I went back to my best friend.

"You are right. Come on, let's get changed and get to work! "

As promised to Marian, Jamie, I and the rest of the Pentathlon Team, we decided to meet up in the greenest and quietest area of the Olympic village so that we could start our training. First we started with a gentle stretching, until we began a long run, like the one that we would have in our match, even if not accompanied by the shooting phase.

Once the race was over, we decided to take a quiet walk around the Olympic village, so as to get used to it as well as regain our strength. However, that was used once we arrived at the gym, where we began our usual routine, accompanied by some healthy fencing.

Within a couple of hours we finished our training and we met up in the canteen, but not before having taken a long refreshing shower.

--Y/N, Sam wrote me specifying to arrive about an hour earlier since there are controls, but above all because the stadium is not in Tokyo, but to Saitama, that is about an hour from here ... — said Jamie checking his mobile phone for the last time.

"So if we have to be there by 7:30 pm, I would say to take the bus at about 6:15 pm ... what do you say?"

—I say it's perfect, after lunch we go to see the bus timetables and ask which one to take ... but first let's go eating! —

"And the one who is always hungry is me eh ..."

— Who is not hungry after a good workout? —

"Fair enough mate"
