Beginning

This is my first story. I haven't written any story before.

This story is set in Alternative Univers. No supernatural aspects, Stefan's parents are alive.

Stefan and Caroline are friends since childhood. Their friends are Bonnie, Elena, Jeremy, Enzo,Tyler they also live in the same town. Stefan's family was rich they used to live in Salvatore Boarding house. But after some years his family had issue so they split and his aunt uncle and their children went to city. Now in the house Stefan and his big brother Damon Salvatore are living with his mother Lily Salvatore.
Stefan is in love with his classmate Elena. They were in serious relation for four years. But she cheated on him by sleeping with his big brother Damon. She also admitted that she is in love with his brother.
But Stefan couldn't moved on. He thinks that Elena is his epic love. He also told everyone that, "I will never love anyone the way I loved her. "
Everyone also believes that he would go back to her in a heartbeat.
After their breakup Stefan was angry but he saw how Elena made him good person. He needed Damon more than Elena.
Stefan is kind, loyal and selfless person. He was the most popular boy in college.

Caroline was also Stefan's schoolmate. She have a crush on Stefan since childhood. She also asked Stefan for date in high school but he rejected her and told her that, " You and me never gonna happen. " Caroline was hurt. But now she has changed a lot. She became strong, independent, kind, generous woman.
Her mother is sheriff Elizabeth Forbes(liz). Her father left his mother because he had affair. Her childhood was not that good her drunk father used hit her mother daily and she used to search a way to save her mother. Her father also hit Caroline several times but after that he left both of them and left country with his girlfriend.
Caroline was happy that her mother is not suffering now. But part of her wanted father by her side. She also misses her father.

Lily and liz were close friends. Liz has cancer. She knew that she can't live her daughter alone in this world. She wants Caroline to marry someone who kind, loyal, honest.
She knew that Caroline always had a crush on Stefan. She thinks that Stefan is perfect guy. And he is also her childhood friend Lily's son.
One day
One day she decided to tell Liz about her wish and Lily hesitate first because what will Stefan think?
But seeing Liz's condition and this was her last wish.
Lily decided to ask Stefan about it.

Lily convinced Stefan, Stefan didn't agree with her. But Lily begged him.  Because Lily wanted her best friend to be happy in last moment
