I listened to the music playing in the background as I posed for the camera. I was doing the beyani hair collection photo shoot that Marie set up for me.
" fix her hair for me please" Malik, the photographer yelled out as I tried to fix it myself.
Marie walked up fixing it for me making me smile at her, "there you go" she returned the smile before walking off as I started back posing.
I closed my eyes capturing the essence as the flash went off and I got lost in my thoughts.
Life has been too hectic, with Ken & Ben being locked up, my kids, my shop, and it's a lot to deal with especially at my age.
I moved away from my mom & close family so I don't have immediate help which makes it worst.
"Your phone is ringing" I got knocked out my thoughts hearing Marie voice, "take 5" Malik yelled as everyone started to walk off set.
I sighed as I hopped off the stool and walked over to Marie as one of the stage helpers put on my robe, "it's Carmen" she told me.
I nodded putting the phone to my ear, "bestfri- don't bestfriend me hoe why you ain't called me?" She cut me off as I laughed.
"And don't make no excuses either I've been seeing yo ass doing photo shoots, why I ain't been invited" she continued as I laughed whilst picking up my water bottle.
"Girl you got my location, you could've pulled up at any time" I told her as I drunk from my bottle and she scoffed, "that's the fake shit I'm talking about, if you hate me just say that" she added.
"I love you Carmen" I twisted the top on my water bottle as I heard her smile through the phone.
"That's all I wanted to hear" she responded just as Malik walked back onto set, "we're resuming" he yelled.
"I gotta go bestie- you bit" I hung up before she could yell giving my phone back to Marie.
"Tell me when it's 3, I got to visit Kentrell" I spoke to her before taking off my robe and going back towards the stool.
"Remove all your jewelry and other items" the security guard spoke me as I entered the jail.
I nodded as I started to take off my bracelets along with Lani's and since Mani didn't have on anything I left him alone while he slept in his car seat.
"Go through one by one" he continued as I breathed in and told Lani to go ahead, "lemme see ya walk" I heard her sing as she walked through making me laugh.
I'm happy that she's happy and not sad being where she is, I walked through the detector with Mani car seat in my hand.
"Your good" they handed me the bucket with my things, I started to put them back on along with Lani's before making my way to the front desk.

"Daddy coming?" Lani smiled and asked me as I nodded sitting on the stool and putting her on my left leg.
I sat Mani car seat right next to me as I unstrapped him and took him out and put him on my other leg with him still sleeping, "there he go Lani" I smiled as I watch Kentrell come around the corner.
He took a seat eagerly grabbing the phone they had as I grabbed the other one and Lani snatched it putting it to her ear, "dadddyyyy" she smiled as his smile widen showing his pearly whites.

"Hey princess" he smiled as she started to tell him stories about her school, "yea and the little girl tried to bite me" she continued.
"Did you beat her ass?" He mugged.
"Yea, I grabbed her wittle ponytail an- hey" I took the phone from her, "none of that" I put it to my ear and sternly told him.
He laughed, "my bad" I shook my head as Lani mugged me and reached for the phone again.
"Let your brother talk" I told her as she frowned and looked back at her dad.
I grabbed Mani and made him stand as I attempted to wake him up, once he opened his eyes he looked around the room tired but started to smile once he seen Ken.
"There go dada" he reached for the glass as Ken smiled and put his hands up to the glass as Mani did the same.
