Today was the day. It was time to move from her home where she lived for most of her life, and leave her best friend behind. Elle knew he had Amanda by his side so he would be able to heal and get better. She was moving out to Ohio where she had already been accepted into a school. She had finished packing for the flight tomorrow and had planned to spend her last day with Lee. She went downstairs and saw her dad staring out the window. "Everything OK Dad?" Elle questioned. "I'm worried about you, going to Ohio and isolating yourself. You need your friends and family to support you." Her Dad had a tremble in his voice while he spoke. "I'm going to be fine Dad. Plus your going to be visiting in 2 weeks." Elle said with a sadness in her voice. Before her dad could reply, there was a car beep. "I gotta go, that'll be Lee. Love you" Elle quickly rushed off.
Lee tried to put on a fake smile for Elle but she could tell he was still devastated. "Hey Elle, ready to go to the beach? We'll be meeting Amanda down there." The ride was awkward because it had only been a month since they heard the news about the passing of Noah. Since then they've not been close but for the past couple of days, they've been reconnecting. "We're going to be watching a movie before we go to lunch if that's alright?" Elle silently nodded before adding "can we play dance revolution just one ĺast time?" "Sure. Can't let you leave before we play our game." Lee added with a sad smile.
