The day goes by fast. Everything is absolute perfection, along with the feelings held deep inside Sebastian's chest. Walking his mother down the isle, the joy he feels, the tears he lets fall when they read their vows, and when they share their first kiss as a married couple. Cheers and claps surround the air as Nathan and Georgeta walk down the isle hand in hand, staring fondly into one another's eyes.

Sebastian can't stop himself from searching the crowd, frowning when he sees no sight of the person he had hoped to see.

Music erupts through the air, along with dancing, laughing, hugging family and friends and celebrating. The food is absolutely delicious, and the conversations with relatives Sebastian had not seen since he was young are filled with tears of joy. And yet, still no sign of his missing person.

Letitia and Maia drag him to dance, spinning in a wicked circle, laughing and throwing their heads back.

The past few months had been difficult. Sebastian had been admitted to the hospital at the request from Amanda, which had been an experience Sebastian never knew he needed. He was feeling really good about himself, about life and his mental health. He still had his ups and downs, but that was expected.

What was different now was that he had two loving, trusting parents who supported him with open arms and open hearts. He had a family. He was safe.

Looking across the dance floor, Sebastian's eyes search the faces of laughing guests, falling on the one person he had hoped would turn up. Chris stands in front of the closed doors, a crisp, black suit on, beard clean and eyes sparkling. He catches Sebastian's gaze, and they both can't help but smile.

Real love is a protector, a defender of all odds that play out, an unbreakable connection that stays with you always. It is raw and deep, it stays with you in quietness and becomes your comfort. Real love raises you up, is okay with your sadness and depression, will kiss the scars that you hide from others.

Real love is rare. Needs to be treasured and to be kept for as long as you live.

People always talk about the right person but the wrong time. Yet, for Sebastian and Chris, it was the right person in the wrong world. The wrong world where people were disgusting, horrible, relentless and toxic. The wrong world where Emily would never stop to leave them alone, would do anything in her path to break their relationship for good.

But maybe, just maybe, when all is healed and university is finished, they could come back together and be happy as they once were. Have a family together. Who knows what the future holds.
