C H A P T E R 7

CONFUSION

Anika's POV

Ugh, my head hurts. Where am i? Inikot ko ang tingin sa magarang kwarto kung nasaan ako. For sure I'm not in my apartment. I'm not in the mansion either, the room looks luxurious and it's like a victorian styled. What happened? Umupo ako sa kama at sumandal sa headboard. Naramdaman ko ang panunuyo ng lalamunan ko, nauuhaw ako pero hindi tubig ang hinahanap ng lalamunan ko. I tried to remember everything that happened and it all came flowing like I'm watching a movie. Red eyes. Fangs. Blood. Dead bodies. So it's true. I taught it's just a dream. It's true that i killed someone. Its true that i drink a blood.

"Just like us, you're a monster too. Don't worry we'll guide you."

Yeah, I'm a monster too. Tears started pooling out my eyes. I can't believe that i just killed somebody. I cried and cried hanggang sa wala ng luha ang lumalabas galing sa mga mata ko. I touched my ring finger where my ring is but it's not there. Did i lost it? I touched my ring finger where my ring was, it left a red mark. I'm sure i didn't lost it. Hindi yon natatanggal sa kamay ko kahit anong gawin ko. Ganon yon kahigpit. I feel different like something changed in me but I don't know what is it. I was startled when the door open. Sunoo and Heeseung enter my room.

"Girl, chill." Sunoo said. While handing me a bag of blood. I'm sure it's blood because i can smell it from a far. Agad ko 'yong kinuha at ininom.

"Dahan dahan, natatapon na sa damit mo." Hindi ko pinansin ang sinabi ni Sunoo at tuloy tuloy na uminom. Tumigil na ako ng pakiramdam ko busog na ako. And the blood tastes different but it's delicious.

"It's animal blood." Heeseung said. I just looked at him and Sunoo. Sunoo sat on the edge of the bed while Heeseung sat on one of the chairs.

"So, what do you want to know first?" Sunoo asked. Ready to explain everything. I touched my ring finger.

"W-what are you? What happened to me?" I asked him.

"Well, as you can see, we're Vampires. You know from stories, blood sucker, pumapatay ng tao but sometimes lang, we drink animal blood often." Heeseung said.

"How do i say this? Should i say this na ba or si Dad na lang magsabi?" Heeseung shrugged, Sunoo rolled his eyes on him.

"Anika, you and i are cousins." He straight forwardly said. Confusion, that was written on my face.

"What? How? I know that we have same surname but," i couldn't found the right words to say in so much confusion. Sunoo sighed. Like he is having a hard time explaining this to me.

"You know, we should talk to Dad and let him explain everything to you. I don't know the right words to say i might trigger something in you." Sunoo said. He stand up, and so is Heeseung. I tried to stand up but my knees are still weak. Sunoo offered his hands but i declined it. I'm still mad at him for avoiding me when i needed help in the party. Pinilit kong maglakad, si Sunoo naman nsa gilid ko at handsng umalalay sa'kin.

"C'mon, Anika. Are you mad? I just did that so everything fall in place." Sunoo said. I sharply looked at him.

"Shut up. I feel betrayed and I'm still processing everything." I said.

"Magpinsan nga talaga kayo." Heeseung said. I just rolled my eyes on him. We continued walking hanggang sa mapunta kami sa malaking kwarto na may mahabang lamesa. May lalaking nakaupo doon na kamukha ni Sunoo pero pinatangdang bersyon. Lumingon ito sa'min at tumayo. A woman beside the man stand up too and a young girl.

"I'll leave now, goodluck." Heeseung said.

"Take a seat." Umupo na kami sa bakanteng upuan.
