Flowers in the night,
Never tasting sweet light.

Hold me close,
Shield me from the ghosts.

Dark, yet sweet, our beauty,
Free of purity.

Soft and tender our hearts,
Easily wounded by cupids darts.

His poison doth spread,
Filling me with dread.

For now I seem to be bound,
By loves sweet sound;

To another dark heart,
Wounded by cupids dart.

Although my love for that dark heart is strong,
The feeling reflected is all wrong.

For his dart doth not match mine;
Another girls heart was hit at the same time,

My lovers dark heart now belongs to her..
Sorrow annoying me with pain and bother..

Why should I love him if he doesn't feel the same?
Maybe because Cupid is simply insane..

That old grumpy man flying in the air,
Casting his darts here and there.

Filling people with lost hope,
Making it hard for some to cope.

Love: a horrid dream,
For the lonely hearts; love 'tis just a scheme.

A sadistic lie,
For here I do testify.

Run from Cupid's darts.
In gods name, I say, protect your hearts.

Run from the poison they call love,
Because although it seems beautiful as a dove,

'Tis in fact a disguised demon,
Lurking for a chance at treason.

'Tis dark as night,
Hiding in the moonlight...
