Chapter 20

Mr. James Buchanan Barnes POV***!

I looked down at her. I remembered everything. Fuck. Why didn't she just let me die. Just then zemo walked back in "Barnes we have to go I got all the flash drives.." he looked down at her. It made my blood boil.

"Zemo let's fucking go!" He quickly turned around and we left. I called Tony "how fast can you get to Sokovia?" He hung up on me

I set her on a near by bench "come on Josie don't die yet.. please just don't die." How could I be so stupid. I was memorizing everything about her. Why do I push everyone away..all of a sudden I could see her stop breathing. I was in full blown panic. "Zemo!! Go get shocks from inside! Now!" I started compressions and CPR.

I was compressing her chest "come on Josie don't do this... please.. I was so harsh to you. I .. I have feelings for you..please don't die before I can tell you.."

Tony spoke "step aside lover boy." He placed his hands on her and shocked her..nothing..he did it again and she shot up and out came a huge blue sonic wave that made us all fall backwards.

Josies pov**

I stood up on my feet touching my side it was healing I had enough energy to heal myself. I looked around "everyone ok??" They we're all on their knees looking up at me. "What? Is anyone hurt?"

Tony laughed "alright I want what she's on. What is it drugs? Drinks?"

I looked at him confused zemo spoke up "Josie do you remember Alexander?"

I looked at him confused. "Duh he runs hydra I have never met him but he's ruthless."

Zemo and Bucky shared a look "what?!" Zemo ignored me and spoke "nothing he was behind the attack he's still at large. Let's just get home. Ok?"

I nodded my head if zemo was cutting the conversation short he had a reason.

After 24hrs we finally got back to stark towers.

"Oh my god.. you all look like shit."

Ah how I e missed her I smiled "nice to see you too Natasha." She elbowed me in my side "owww still tender." She out her hands up in surrender.

Bucky walked in talking to Steve. Zemo walked in with me "looks like you have earned yourself a room zemo."

He smiled "close to yours?"

I laughed and Bucky turned around "no, you're on the 8th floor for now. Until we are done with you."

I rolled my eyes "still a bundle of joy he is."

Zemo laughed " cut him some slack his past isn't exactly sunshine."

I stopped and looked at zemo "neither is mine. You don't see me acting like a dick."

He smirks "well you do walk around like a top dog like nothing hurts you but I hear the screams at night. You hide it with humor."

I hung my mouth open "ok damn zemo. Sheesh."

We laughed splitting up in the compound. Steve and Tony took zemo and I went to the gun range. I miss shooting people, I mean things...

I got in and no one was around I was so excited. There was a wall of guns I didn't pay attention I just grabbed a glock and got into position. I pushed my button and the target went back.

I put my headphones in putting my killa playlist on. God I was in the grove. I held the gun in my right hand and shot the target. Center of head. I let a giggle lose. It was intoxicating. I fired three more rounds off and inhaled the smoke from the gun. I could feel the surge my eyes had to be red. I could feel it.

I holstered the gun and did quick draws all dead center. "God damn I'm badass." I went to walk away and I spun back my body glowing red I shot at the target and it disintegrated. I set the gun down grabbing the desk trying to cool down.

I heard a voice "damn, to carry you on my arm would make us an unstoppable duo."

I turned still surging I smiled at him "cute. Not interested."

He pursed his lips "mm yes zemo seems to have your attention. Did I mention I'm a god?" He smirked looking me up and down. I felt another pair of eyes. I knew who it was. I sent red at Loki and fell to his knees. He looked up at me shocked "only one person has ever brought me to my knees.."

I smiled and calmed down "always room for improvement, god of mischief." I walked
Out leaving him with his mouth open.

I was sitting in my room for awhile. I heard foot steps and then they left and came back. My god! I went to the door and waited to hear them approaching again and I swung the door open to reveal a distressed Bucky. "Can i help you?"

He just stared at me "Hey.. can we talk?"

I was taken off guard "Umm sure."

He walked in all quiet. I wonder what could be bothering him. He finally talks "thank you."

I looked at him funny "why?"

He turned to me staring at me. "You saved me.. well from me. You didn't leave me there and you didn't pick between me or zemo."

I was so lost in his eyes I didn't have time to stop my mouth from talking "I just remember choosing good. I don't remember exactly what happened. I just know I wanted to be good.."

He walked over to me and I retreated until I hit a wall. He placed his hands on either side of my face "Josie.. I like you. I've been trying to fight it but I don't want to anymore. I can't stop thinking about you. Every second of every day all I want to do is be near you, to breath your air.. After we had sex I felt my defenses go down and like usual I ran like hell from the one good thing I've ever felt in my life."

I didn't hesitate I smashed my lips into his. The kiss was so needy, we needed each other like a lifeline. I didn't want to part from him. He broke the kiss. "I almost forgot the most important part of my speech. Josie will you be my girlfriend?"

I froze looking at him was he serious. I grabbed his head with my hands on his head and went in. All he keeps thinking about is hatred toward himself, regret of every murder, and me.. lots and lots of me.. he really does want this.

I pulled out of his head and he stumbled back "find anything good."

I just stared at him "just a lot of me.."

He looked up at me smiling "glad you see it my way..so?"

I looked him up and down. Did i want to be with him. He's hot no doubt. Power couple, duh. Do I see a future? I blinked fast.. future. All I know is when I kiss him I'm home. I feel completed, and I don't want anyone else. I looked at him "yes."

It was a whisper but he heard me he grabbed my waist pulling me to him then placed his hands on my face pulling me into a passionate kiss. He pulled back "oh Tony has a party tonight. See ya down there."

I grabbed his hand "let's not tell anyone yet ok?"

He nodded and left me with a stomach full of butterflies. Shit.
