Writing prompt: How do you feel when you love someone who doesn't love you back?
A/N so if you know me you know I like to take things to the next level. Lets make a whole story out of this, k bitches? Lets goo
Anvil grabbed her wallet and ran down the stairs almost tripping. She regained her balance quickly and looked to the mirror in the hall. She was in her normal outfit, her black ripped jeans, a t-shirt, and her black converse. Her red hair was a mess, but she didn't care, her hairstyle didn't need much styling anyway.
"Mama, I'm going out with my friends, I'll be back by ten. Probably long before but in case I lose track of time, ten at the latest." She said as she walked into the kitchen and grabbed a water from the fridge. "Thats fine, but who will make dinner?" Her mother pestered. Anvil leaned against the counter, unscrewed the cap, and took a drink. "You, or maybe Danny if you get lucky."
As she spoke her twin brother waltzed in the room and opened the freezer for a popsicle. "Anvil, whats for dinner tonight?" Anvil smiled sweetly at him. "I have no clue Danny, I'm not going to be here." His face held a shocked expression. "Whos gonna cook then?" Her smile grew even wider. "You are. I'm going out with my friends, besides you need to get up off your ass at some point." Their mother sent Anvil a look. "Language young lady."
Anvil scoffed. "I only said the donkeys proper name! But fine Mother, I'll see you later." She grabbed her car keys and left the room with Danny following her. "I can't cook! We all know ladies belong in the kitchen!" Anvil stopped in her tracks a few feet away from her car.
"First of all, you misogynistic asshole, if women belong in the kitchen then you belong at a construction sight or in the field farming or some shit. I don't belong in the kitchen, I'm just the only one out of the two of us who learned actual life skills other than strengthening my thumb muscles by playing video games all day and gaining fifteen pounds a day on popsicles and chocolate. So take your lazy fucking ass back inside before I bodyslam you so hard you'll be in the hospital for a month!"
Danny looked at Anvil in shock, before slowly stepping backwards. One step. Two steps. Three steps. Run! He bolted across the yard and through the door while Anvil smirked. She threw her keys up in the air once, caught them, and got in her car. "I love you brother, but you are such an ass!" She started her car and drove away.
About half an hour later, she pulled up to a little ice cream shop that was a frequent hangout for Anvil and her friend group. She went inside and spotted her best friend, Kameron. Sitting next to her, was her other best friend, Alex. And of course next to Alex, was Risa. Risa was Alex' girlfriend, and she had a strong hatred for her. She put on a fake smile instead of the glare she was dying to send Risa's way, and made her way to the group.
She plopped down right next to Kameron, and gave a big smile to both her and Alex, but ignoring Risa. "Hey Kam, Alex, Risa. Whats up?" Kameron laughed. "Oh Ann, do I have things to tell you!" Anvil rolled her eyes. "Of course you do." Alex chuckled at the scene. "You two are going to take down the President one day with all the 'tea' you spill." Anvil smirked at him. "Is that a challenge? I think that's a challenge I'm hearing."
"No its not a challenge Ann, its just a silly sarcastic comment!" Risa smiled sweetly at her, which she only returned with a sickening glare. Kameron looked at Anvil with a questioning face, but chose to ignore it. "Don't call me Ann. My name is Anvil." Her voice was so low and threatening, she even surprised herself. "But Kameron called you that," Risa shot back. "Kameron is Kameron. You are you. And you are not aloud to call me Ann. Understood?" Risa got up and smoothed her skirt. "Fine. I'll go get our orders!"
Anvil moved from leaning across the table to sitting comfortably and tried to resume conversation with her friends. "Did you get my order?" She asked. "Of course!" Kameron said flipping her hair dramatically. "Anvil? What was that about?" Alex said rather calm. "What was what about?" She snapped back. Alex looked rather taken aback by her tone. "That with Risa. I had the feeling you didn't like her much, but all that was in your eyes was pure hatred," Anvil stood up. "It was nothing. She called me Ann when I didn't want her too, I've told her several times to call me Anvil. She didn't listen so I had to become assertive."
She stormed out of the shop and turned the corner to sit on the bench in the bushes that her and Alex used to sit on and eat their ice cream when they were like eight years old. She heard a small chuckle and felt someone sit next to her. "Thought I might find you here. Are you ok Annie?" Anvil sat up straight. "I'm fine. What are you doing? Here to defend your girlfriend again?" Alex wrapped his arm around her, and a feeling that felt quite like butterflies crept into her stomach. "Quite the opposite actually. I wanted to make sure my best friend was doing ok because she was acting rather strangly. The same way she acted when her ex got a new girlfriend."
Anvil stiffened, that only made her feel more confused. "Honestly Alex, I'm fine. Can we just go back in now?" She stood up and released herself from his grip and began walking inside again. "If the princess insists..." He muttered to himself as he followed.
A/N I fully plan on making this a "Series" so if you want part 2 let me know. I might make one regardless of opinion sooo. But still. Please do tell if you'd like more parts 🙃❤️
