After doing a quick check-up, Charlie's nurse had walked out, asking Katie if she wanted anything before she did. A few short moments after, Charlie began to steer in his bed; Katie was going to rush to the door to call for the doctor or the nurse, but Charlie had took hold of her wrist before she could even get out of her seat.

"Charlie, what's the matter?" Katie asked, instantly going back to her seat, worried for Charlie; anyone that was in the room could clearly have seen the worry in Katie's face.

"I love you too, Kate." Charlie managed to smile; Katie smiled back, beginning to cry tears of joy.

"So, you did hear me?" Katie continued to smile

"Of course," Charlie said, still smiling, as he tried to sit up; Katie stopped him from sitting up.

"Lie down; you'll hurt your side even more." Katie told him, and he obeyed her.

"It'll get worse before it'll get better." Charlie grinned his signature cheeky grin.

"Even when hurt you never fail to pull a cheeky grin and I think you've already gone through the worse." Katie smiled; she kissed Charlie on the cheek.

Blushing bright red, Charlie asked, "Did the doctor say when I was allowed out?"

"No he didn't; I'll go ask now if you want." Katie asked, as she stood up; she didn't move until Charlie gave her an answer.

"Sure; the sooner I know, the sooner I stop worrying." Charlie, still blushing, replied; Katie walked out and soon returned after a couple of minutes.

"He said about two weeks, depending on your recovery progress - if it's good then he'll send you home earlier." Katie replied, with a sweet smile, once she walked in.

"Oh, well, would you mind taking care of Bolt for me?" Charlie pleaded with huge puppy-dog eyes.

"Sure, I love looking after Bolt; besides he'll look after  the place with Sasha, while I'm gone during the day." Katie replied, still smiling; she could see Charlie was still blushing from when she kissed him on the cheek not long ago.

Due to excellent progress in recovery, Charlie was discharged from the hospital in under a week. Katie had visited him everyday to see how Charlie was doing; she even picked Charlie up when he was discharged as the doctor had commanded Charlie wasn't allowed to drive or work for a couple of weeks - which Charlie was truly devastated about as he loved to work. Charlie struggled to walk or move due to his side being sore still, but -with Katie's help - he managed to walk to Katie's car and Katie helped him in.

As Katie was getting into the driver's side, Charlie asked, "Katie, can we go talk to Vanessa; I want to ask her a couple of things?"

"Sure," Katie replied, then curiously asked, "I hope you don't mind me asking, but what do you want to ask her?"

"I don't mind at all; well, one of the things I want to know if she hates me that bad, why didn't she just kill me in the first place? Also, why didn't she just let me die when Rupert stabbed me, she didn't have to call the ambulance, but she did?" Charlie explained as he winced slightly in pain.
