"Sunbae! Look to your right!" i heard yugyeom shout to me behind me. I looked right beside me and there was a man rushing towards me, with a metal stick.
I dodged seconds before the metal was supposed to hit my head.

"Close call gyeomie!" i said while kicking his neck and trapping him under me. Right after i handcuffed the man, i passed yugyeom a handcuff to help himself with the culprit he caught. "What about others? Where did they go?" i asked yugyeom while holding the man down with my elbow, panting for air. "They already went to the other alley to catch the other." yugyeom said while handcuffing the other criminal.

"We're done here!" jaebeom said from the other side of the road. I glanced back at his direction and he was holding onto a man and bambam was behind him, grinning at us.

"Okay this was easier than expected!" i said, shoving the last criminal into our van and then closing the door. Our department had been trying to catch these three for so long. They're highschool dropouts, still minors. They've been going around, Sexually harassing young girls around the area. This wasn't even a mission, we were just heading out to eat lunch and they appeared infront of our car out of nowhere.     Much more easier than the usual scene of catching criminals.

I looked at the boy seated in the middle of bambam and yugyeom, he looked so young, proximately 19 years old. I wonder what went wrong with this generation, most of the crimes were committed by juveniles or young adults. We went from catching deadly serial killers to catching teenagers just like this?

i looked out of my window and shivered. If kids were capable of comitting these deadly crimes, then i wonder how hard we would have to work to catch the actual criminals. and the fact that we were just heading out to get lunch but arrested these culprits made me sick. the world is becoming a rotten place.

"the deparment head said he will extend our lunch time since we worked during the lunch break, so i'll order food. what do you guys want?" jaebeom said while sitting across the booth from me. "i'll have jjajangmyeon."  bambam groaned as he streched in  his seat. "ttokbokki for me, i'm so tired!" yugyeom said while yawning. i looked down at my desk and looked through my files for the next case we were handling. we have works piled up in our desk because the crime rate has increased in the city. i can't even sleep peacefully knowing, there are so many criminals roaming around in the broad daylight, planning to harm everyone.

"yeonbin!" a finger snapped before my eyes, i looked up to see who those fingers belonged to. jaebeom stood there, the concern in his eyes made me feel sorry for him. the poor boy worried way too much for me. "huh? come again?" i said while looking down at the file i was holding. he snatched it from me and placed it on the desk. i looked at him with annoyance, he looked rather calm than what i was feeling right now. "i know you skipped breakfast this morning. tell me, what do you want to eat now?" he smiled at me. "i dont know, i just dont feel like eating now." i sighed and leaned back to my seat. he noticed the stress in my tone and he typed something in his phone. "i know you are stressed and worried about the recent crime rate going up, but starving yourself would not solve the cases or catch the criminals right? you need strength to catch them , dont you?" he patted my head and smiled. his assuring smile seemed to calm me down a bit. i let out a sigh of relief and smiled back at him. he seemed to get the hint and walked back to his desk.

"okay but what did you order for me while i was stressing over this?"  i said while pointing down at the files?". he smirked and gave me a look that said 'you'll know when it arrives'. i dont know how but 12 year old friendship gave us a way to understand each other.

the delivery man arrived and i looked at what he ordered for me. it was clear that this man knew me better than my own parents. he ordered sundubu-jjigae for me as he knew this is the only food in the whole world that can bring peace to me.
