*time skip*

It was the day of boarding the train back home. Their first year was over just like that, although it was very memorable (and difficult too; Elena had to adjust to a completely new world).

The three friends chose a compartment and seated themselves. Elena sat next to the window, and Felicia sat opposite to her. Soleil was next to Elena.

"Hey El, can I come over your house next week?" Felicia asked her.

"Sure. My parents love it when I bring friends over" She nodded.

"What about you?" Felicia asked Soleil.

"What about me?"

"Won't you come?"

Soleil thought for a moment. Elena knew she was considering her parent's strict behavior towards having association with muggles.

"I'll ask Aunt Veronica...she's non-biased, so she might be able to sneak me out of the house under some excuse."

"Your parent's wouldn't get suspicious?" Elena asked, taking a bite out a cookie.

"Nah. They don't know about her attitude towards muggles. Besides I often hang out with her so there's nothing suspicious."

They began setting up a board game, when the compartment door slip open. A tan-skinned, sinewy boy with dark brown, messy hair and brown eyes appeared.

"Hey Soleil, have you seen Elios?"

"Uh, no." She

He left without another word.

"Who was that?" Elena asked her, rolling the dice. It fell into a 'five', so she passes it to Soleil.

"That was Sullivan Macmillan. His Father is friends with Elios' and my dad. He and I used to go to Elios' house for play dates."

Soleil rolled her dice, and got a 'six'. She moved her player, then passed it to Felicia.

"Is he..." Elena started pointedly.

"Nah. His family is actually really chill... They have cellphones and WiFi in the part of their house that has bedrooms. Of coarse they don't show it to other people..."

"You guys are loosing this game." Felicia said.

"You're threatened by two of my pieces." Soleil reminded her.

"Just watch my dear."

Felicia rolled out a six, and hit Soleil's piece with her own, placing it there instead. The piece fell on the floor, stirring Soleil's competitive nature.

"You're going to regret that."

Eventually, Felicia won the game. Soleil was so angry that she flipped the board. One of the pieces was about to go into Elena's eye, before it stopped in air.

Elena, who'd closed her eyes instinctively, opened them again to see Soleil and Felicia goggling at the marble piece.

"Why...is it not falling?" Soleil muttered, looking around to see if someone was levitating it.

"Uhm..." Elena hesitated.

The piece fell on the ground.

Elena quitely pondered whether she should tell them her secret. The two locked their eyes on her expectantly.

"That...would be because of me." She said slowly. She was still not sure as to why she was telling them this.
"I'm part fairy."

She looked up at them, studying their reactions. They merely looked even more confused. Elena sighed. She did not really have any strict reason to hide, or reveal her secret, but she did not want to lie to such good friends.

"My mum is a wild-fairy, and my dad is a muggle."

"What's a wild-fairy?" Felicia asked, and Elena noticed polite curiosity in her tone. Soleil, on the other hand, looked like she was malfunctioning.

"I don't know that much... But mum says they are women who gaurd enchanted creatures and magical forests. Oh, and they have elemental powers."

"I've never heard of them." Said Soleil.

"Neither have I." Felicia chimed.

"Well," Elena explained, "They live abroad, Usually in temperate forests. No wizard or muggle knows about them because anyone who meets them never stays alive to tell the tale."

Soleil gulped.

"Then...what about your dad?" Felicia intently asked, being careful of not sounding insensitive.

"He went to the forest for a trip. The wild-fairies would have killed him, but mum tricked them into letting him live. So they wanted to kill her instead. She ran away. When dad came back home he brought her with him and they got married."

"Woah." Felicia whispered.

"Okay," Soleil said abruptly, "but how does that explain the floating things."

"It's due to elemental powers, right?" Felicia suggested.

"Yes. Mum can control all five-"

"Five?!" Soleil interrupted, "weren't there four?"

"There are one hundred and eighteen realistically, but five according to ancient philosophies; fire, air, water, earth and wood." Felicia said quickly.

"Anyways," she continued, "I was saying that mum can control all five, but I can't because of my wizard magic. For some reason the wizard magic is dominant over the fairy magic, so I can only control the lightest elements - fire and air."

"Why fire?" Soleil quickly asked, and Elena was feeling uncomfortable with her consistent questioning.

Felicia began before Elena could, "Fire is just energy released by burning, whereas Air is gas. Obviously they're the lightest...The station is here by the way." She added, tilting her head to get a better view.

Flocks of students unboarded the train, saying goodbyes to friends and rejoining their families.

Elena's father had come to take her home. He gave her a warm hug, and carried her luggage to the car.
"Call me, okay?" She said to Felicia, who nodded.

"Write to me." Soleil said in an uncharacteristically sad voice.

"We will." Both Elena and Felicia said. Soleil gave them a small smile.

They hugged each other, and Elena departed with her father to the muggle world.
