Chapter 35

I woke up with a little headache nothing major. The events of last night flashed in my head. I seriously partied all night. Natasha was my wing women for sure. I think I even made out with her? I'm not sure. I roll over and came face to face with Natasha.. fuck.

I quickly looked down at our bodies oh thank god we were still in our dresses from last night. Bucky walked in "oh Umm nice?" I got out of bed and motioned to my dress. He laughed "I wasn't judging it's Natasha a lot of us have dreamed or done something with her." I was kinda mad he said that. "Bucky I wouldn't cheat. Even my drunk fun Josie wouldn't. Although I think I kissed her.."

He looked shocked "Can you show me what you mean? Like reenact and I'll let you know how I feel." He smirked I walked over and pushed him. He caught my wrist, his face turned dark "I am sorry for last night. I heard I missed a fun night because I was an idiot who let his temper take over.."

I smiled "it's ok I would of done the same if a girl tried to take you from me too."

He let a sarcastic laugh out "yeah I'm sure. If only a girl actually wanted me."

I punched his arm "I should be enough. No one else should want you anyway im hoping my reputation keeps them away."

He pulled me into a kiss just then Natasha spoke "damn so I didn't steal Josie from you after all. I will saver the make out session from last night though."

I smiled and rolled my eyes playfully "it was a fun night for sure."

She pumped her fist in the air like she was jamming to a song "can't wait to do it again. Jarvis I need aspirin and water."

"Jarvis cancel the order."

She looked at me with anger "excuse me I'm not super human I need medicine!"

I walked over placing my hand on her head. She sucked in a breath and closed her eyes.

Bucky looked panicked "why did she knock out!"

"I gave her a little extra for her to get sleep for more strength?"

He shook his head "and?"

I smiled "and I was tired of talking."

He shook his head "yup see there's josie."

I laughed. He pulled me to him "come away with me this weekend. Please. Just you and I."

I looked at him confused why would he ask me this "ugh ok?"

He kissed me "pack for two nights. We will leave at 12pm tomorrow it takes 6 hours to get there."

He left. Damn a whole weekend alone with no one else. I started getting butterflies. I'm so excited.

I finally packed all my shit and changed my clothes.

"Jarvis can you have someone take my bag to the main floor?"

"Yes Miss Josie, right away."

I was starting to love Jarvis. I decided to go to the basement to check on Lucian. I wasn't thrilled but I need a question answered.

I got downstairs and he was gone? I checked every cell no Lucian. "Jarvis where is Lucian?"

"There are no logs of a Lucian, I apologize."

Just then his voice rang "system was too easy to override."

I turned to him leaning against the wall holding wires. "So what now."

He looked up from his hands to me smirking. His blonde hair was short and his emerald eyes bright as ever "like I said I'm here for you Josie. That winter soldier doesn't deserve you. I do. I should of made a move sooner. I didn't realize my true feelings until I saw you with Bucky. It made my skin boil. He doesn't even have powers. I have powers." His eyes were glowing green. His body looked like it was vibrating. He closed his eyes and calmed down.

"Sorry I just thought I would have more time to muster up the courage to talk to you. I can't stand the winter soldier. You should too. We have been compared to him our whole lives!"

I put my hand up "no, YOU were compared to him your whole life. That's what kills you. Not only did you lose your life in his shadow but you lost me."

He sighed "so this is it then. I'll just have to kill him to be apart of your life."

And with that he was gone. I grabbed my chest falling to my knees. I couldn't breath I was having a panic attack? Me?

I felt strong arms lift me up. I looked into Steve's eyes his mouth was moving in slow motion but I wasn't hearing a word. He was shaking me and it felt like slow motion. Bucky. I have to find Bucky. I broke the spell he cast on me focusing on Steve "WHERE IS BUCKY?!" He shook his head.

I pushed him aside and ran out of the cellar up the stairs I turned a corner and smashed right into Bucky. Still laying on him I hugged him so right I leaned back and looked all over him searching for anything. I pressed my hands to his mind searching for the last moment he had with Lucian. The party.

I sighed and fell back against the wall pulling my legs to my chest. I started bawling my eyes out. Bucky grabbed my shoulders "Josie what the hell is going on?!"

I looked up at him "Lucian escaped and promised to kill you since I chose you."

He slumped back. "Josie I'm so sorry. Maybe we shouldn't be together.."

I snapped my head at him "Bucky look at me." He met my eyes our link was filled with nothing but pain. I sent love and spoke clearly "Bucky. I would choose you over and over again every time without skipping a beat." He had tears in his eyes I leaned forward and grabbed his hands "I love you more than anything. Let's leave tonight for our weekend getaway."

He squeezed my hands and moved them to my face he ran his thumb across my bottom lip "I love you so much. Let's go tonight." He moved in slowly and kissed me softly I opened my mouth and he did the same out tongues softly exploring each other. My hands moved to his hair getting tangled. I wanted him forever. I wanted this forever.

He pulled away leaning his forehead on mine "I'll get your bag. Meet me in the garage."

He got up and I panicked "NO!" He turned to me confused "I'm coming with you.. I I can't let you out of my sight until I know Lucian is dead or captured."

He sighed "I can hold my own Josie." I shot him a look and he put his hands up "ok ok let's go."

I followed him upstairs he grabbed our bags by the door and we walked to the garage. I told Jarvis to send a message out to the team Bucky and I were going away for the weekend.

We got into the car and left. "So where are we going?"

He smiled "my home away from home. No one has ever been there and I've never taken anyone there before."

I turned to him shocked "you have a secret house what else are you hiding?!"

He rolled his eyes "seriously I keep one thing from you and I am the bad guy?"

I laughed "shut up and drive I can't wait t see the secret home away from home."

He glanced at me. "Technically it's a treehouse.. soo."

I turned to him blinking fast.. a treehouse?
