[Y/N].
Not a name many people know. Not a name many people want to know. You've got an alias for a reason, though it's not one by choosing.
Phantom.
You're a villain. You know this well. You've been one for years, considered a top threat by the ninja. "Top threat" your ass, they barely focus on actually catching you.
It's not like they don't want to, believe me. It's just that they can't.
Marksman.
The ninja aren't a particularly interesting bunch to you. You're cautious, sure - those elemental powers pack a hard punch, and you're not interested in getting burnt by the Red ninja again anytime soon - but you don't feel like knowing more.
You like the mystery- for both sides. You could have passed each other on the streets and never have known. You like that, keeping them on their toes. Each fight you bring something new to the table, something they have to learn to work around mid battle.
Shifter, once. "The Night," another. You like that name, you think. It's funny.
Though most of the ninja aren't interesting, one always catches your eye. The sort of "leader" to the group - the Green ninja.
You've never actually seen him use elemental powers, but that doesn't mean he's still not a force to be reckoned with. You could swear your chest still has bruising from his attacks from, what, five battles ago?
You like that in a man. Strong despite it all.
And today was no different. You had a few people to help you this time - you're sure the news would call them "minions" or whatever, but they're honestly just friends of yours - and they kept the ninja distracted.Well... except for your favorite green clothed ninja.
"Marksman," he said, almost like he's surprised to see you, though you know its not the case, and you hum behind your mask.
"Switching up names, now?" You ask teasingly, already knowing how this'll end. You stab your sword into the rooftop, cracking the stone a little under it. "I like how it sounds from you."
You tilt your head to the side, eyeing the ninja in front of you as he sets his stance. You, relaxed still, simply smile.
"I've been thinking of trying new ones," he says back, and you can see how he looks you over. Trying to see what your next move will be.
You're a villain. You've seen the ninja fight countless times. You know how to get around them.
In a flash, you dash to the side and behind him, faster than he can turn, and send a kick to his back.
Not expecting that, the Green ninja stumbles forward, turning and almost falling in the process. His eyes are wide behind his own mask, and widen even further when you point your sword at his neck.
"Spend less time thinking about names," you say, planting yourself firmly on the roof, "and spend more time fighting me."
"You're on!" He says, almost yelling, and there's a tone to his voice that tells you he's grinning, confident he'll win.
The fight between you starts, him lunging at you. You step back, just barely dodging, and prepare to fight back.
A punch here, a kick from the both of you there, you're getting closer to the ledge of the roof.
A swipe of your sword, a loose rock, and he's on the ground. You go to step over him, to get to a better point on the roof, but a swift kick to your legs sends you sprawling.

Ninjago x Reader Oneshots
FanfictionJust some reader-insert Ninjago oneshots I write. I've been pretty disappointed in the lack of neutral [or masculine] reader fics, so I decided to write them myself. Again, the reader is referred to with they/them pronouns unless otherwise specified...
