As I pulled into the bike rack at my gym, I noticed that everybody was staring at me. "What?", I asked. They smiled and said that the coaches needed to speak with me. "Your in trouble!", Chelsea, aka the mean girl, said.

Chelsea is the mean girl at my gym. Every gym has at least ONE of those. Chelsea is a level 9 also. She is very competitive, especially against me. She has beaten me before, but not this time. The 1st place title will be MINE!

"Chelsea, what could I have possibly done?", I asked her. She grinned. "Well, you were pretty nasty to me yesterday.", she replied. "Chelsea, all I said was to leave me alone because I wasn't in a good mood.", I said. "Kylie, you suck at gymnastics, and when you get kicked out, it will be HILARIOUS!", she said. Everybody just stared at her.

I walked into the gym and quickly changed into my leotard. I went and put my bag into the cubby and heard the coaches all calling for me inside the gym. I walked I side and they all smiled. "Kylie, I remember when you were just a little thing!", Coach Kaytie said. "Anyway, come over here! We have good news."

Good news? What? Usually when they call me in here it's advice for a new skill I'm learning or because of how much I'm improving on a skill. Good news... I don't know. "Have a seat, Kylie.", Coach Kaytie said, noticing my confused look. They all paused. "The good news?" I reminded them, breaking the silence. "Yes. Well, we have been thinking. We know that you are amazing, so we were thinking about moving you up another level.", Coach Kaytie said.

A level ten? I am not ready for this! "A level ten? I don't know. I'm still struggling with some skills as a level 9.", I said. Coach Kaytie now had a confused look on her face. "I thought that you would be excited. You obviously have the skill! Chelsea and everybody else doesn't have as good form on their skills and am don't even have some skills! I am not changing my mind, Kylie.", Coach Kaytie said.

"Okay. I guess I will do it.", I sighed. I am not ready to be a level ten. I went the rest of the day unexcited and upset. Everybody wondered (except Chelsea, she kept on smiling and snickering), why I was so down. I don't want anybody to know yet. I need time to think. As far as they know, I am still a level 9.
