2-7 Presentiment

Sapnap was still a little too excited about the kiss, he didn't think he'd have the balls to go for it, especially with someone who didn't seem too comfortable with stuff like that. But he couldn't help himself, he had to at least try because his feelings for Karl weren't going to go away any time soon. What this meant for them relationship wise was still unknown, maybe Karl wanted time to work on himself first before a relationship, Sapnap respected his decision either way and would eventually ask him about it.

However, now was not the time to talk about their relationship outside of their sessions.

"You mean to go on, then. I, meanwhile, have been thinking nonstop about who I am. In the end, I haven't managed to arrive at any conclusions," a wave of disappointment overcame his features.

"I think and think, and only discover more questions," he bit his lip nervously, "at this point, I can only assume there are no answers, after all. Even so, I cannot stop thinking. Ever thinking, ever searching... I'm sure it must be the same for you."

Sapnap bounced his leg, anticipation causing nerves.

"Oh, look. The Façade is here to talk with you. Go on and humor them, I'll be elsewhere. I will see you soon."

Sapnap didn't want to leave Karl, he didn't want to talk to that Façade. Alas, he had no choice, the void materializing around him like usual.

"We meet again, my lost child," it started, "I have been watching each choice you make. Is this unknown path your way? You would alter the conclusion."

"I watch in shadow. I'm sure that you... will see with your own eyes what awaits down that path. When next we meet, the result will be in sight. Walk the road unbending."

Rex vanished as it does, the library coming back into view. Karl, however, seemed to be gone from his usual spot at the desk, likely having ran off somewhere to avoid the Façade, or maybe to indulge in a new adventure. It was time to continue reading and improving his understanding of himself now.

Sometimes Sapnap found himself wondering how his roommate, Dream, and his friends back at home were doing. Maybe time passed differently here, he could only hope that they weren't searching desperately for him and worrying themselves to death.
