Chapter 1

"Hey wake up!"

Venti groaned as he reached for his pillow and held it over his head. Maybe if he didn't acknowledge the voice, it would just go away?

"Venti we've got to go!" Bennett's voice echoed through his ear. "Come on man, we don't want to be late!"

Venti suddenly felt his pillow being tugged, and decided to let go. Admitting defeat. He suddenly felt his head throb and clutched it in his hands. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to drink first thing in the morning then have a nap straight afterwards.

"My head hurts." He whined, which Bennett rolled his eyes at.

"What did I say about drinking so much?" The blonde haired boy scolded, as he reached down to his side and grabbed a water bottle - handing it over to Venti.

"You're lucky I came prepared." He sighed as Venti muttered his thanks, suddenly Chongyun's head popped into Venti's room.

"Hey guys we should probably leave - you know how upset Xingqiu gets when we're late." Chongyun said, which Venti rolled his eyes at.

"Yeah! Don't want to leave Razor waiting!" Bennett chimed in.

Ever since his roommates got boyfriends this became his life. Waking up at 3 freaking pm in the afternoon just to get dragged to dinners or movies. Not that he usually minded, he enjoyed going out and being social. But gosh why did they have to wake him up so early in the afternoon?

Although he knew today he had to let it slide, Kaeya was returning from his one year trip to America, and Xingqiu was throwing a welcome home party for it. Venti was happy for his friend that he got to see the world - although nonetheless he still missed him a lot.

"Hey!" Bennett clicked his fingers snapping Venti out of his thoughts. "I know you're tired but we need to leave soon - so please don't take forever to get ready."

"Oh I know something that'll motivate him." Chongyun said as he leaned against the doorframe with a smirk on his face.

"Which is?" Venti questioned as he took another sip of the water.

"Xingqiu told me he invited one of Kaeya's old friends to the 'welcome-home' dinner. Apparently he is cute too - shoulder length hair, tattoos, reserved but gets straight to the point-" 

"He into tone-deaf bards?" Bennett interrupted with a giggle, which Venti smacked him lightly on the shoulder at. 

"Well only one way to find out." Chongyun replied with a laugh, then he diverted his attention back to Venti.

"Come on - anyway you know it'll be nice to see Kaeya again. Just get ready quicker for the cute guy." Then Chongyun left the room, beckoning Bennett to follow.

"Better be cute." Venti mumbled under his breath.
