Meeting Mr. Lee

Ugh. I thought to myself as I got out of bed. Why does school have to start so early in the morning? I dragged myself out of bed and got dressed in my favourite pair of bootyshorts and went downstairs to get breakfast. "Honey are you sure that's appropriate for the first day back to school?" said my mom. "Yeah it's appropriate" I said as I grabbed a piece of toast from the counter. "I have to leave for school now. Don't wanna be late." I stepped outside and started the 30 minute walk to school. Thank god for California weather. I stepped through the doors to McKinley high school and I was instantly greeted by the sound of squealing coming from my 2 best friends Jessica and Bella who were currently running to me. "Omg it's been so long Jackie how was your summer?" said Bella. "Good wby" I replied. "Also good. Guess what" "idk what" I replied. "I heard from the other students that the new PE teacher, Mr. Lee, is really hot" said Bella. "I'll be the judge of that cause I have him first block" I replied with a wink. The bell rang and we said bye to each other and went to our first class of the day AKA Mr. Lee for me. I went into the gym and realized me and Noah had PE together. Ugh this is not gonna be a fun year. You see, me and Noah dated once back in freshman year and when I tried to break it off with him, he wouldn't take no for an answer. He kept texting me and calling me till I ended up having to block his phone number. I'm just hoping he won't try to talk to me cause honestly he's really annoying. I don't know what I was thinking back then. "Jackie, Jackie?" I suddenly heard. "Huh" I looked up and saw a vision of beauty. Whoever the man standing in front of me was, he had killer looks. I couldn't help but stare at his lips for a few seconds before I pulled my eyes away. "What happened?" I said slightly dazed. "I was doing role call. Are you okay?"Just then I realized everyone was staring at me "Um yeah just keep going" I blushed. Wow Jessica and Bella were right. Mr. Lee is really hot. Since it was the first day we didn't do much. Just talked about proper safety in sports and what kind of gym strip to wear. Class was almost over and Mr. Lee had already gone over everything so everyone was chatting waiting for the bell to ring. "Shit Noah is coming over here" I cursed under my breath. "Hey there Jackie" said Noah. "Hi" I replied. "I was having a start of Senior year party on Friday and I was wondering if you'd like to come" he said. "Oh, ummm" the bell cut me short thank god cause the last thing I wanted to do was go to one of Noah's party's. They were practically the birthplace of one night stands. "Sorry Noah I have to go" I said quickly dashing to the door but before I could get out I heard someone say "Jackie can you stay after class for a minute please" I turned around and saw Mr. Lee. Shit am I in trouble or something, as far as I know I did nothing wrong. I walked over to where Mr. Lee was standing. "What happened at the start of class when we were doing role call?" said Mr. Lee. "Oh that" I said relieved that I wasn't in trouble. "I guess I just tuned out. It happens sometimes" "Oh okay. I'm guessing you missed my introduction before role call so let me introduce myself. My name is Edmond Lee. I have a son named Riley and my favourite sport is Volleyball. Oh and if you ever need anything just ask" said Mr. Lee "Um.. ok then. My favourite sport is also Volleyball" I replied. I looked down at my phone and realized I was gonna be late for math if I didn't leave. "I have to go to Math. Sorry Mr. Lee don't wanna be late" And with that I left.
