A poem for mother, by Nick Mergits.

From the day I first saw the light, your eyes gazed on me, never to leave my side.
A heart filled with love, burning ever so bright, pushing me forward with all of your might.
You helped me grow up, grow smart, grow strong.
Even now I remember your lullaby, our song.
I remember you holding my hand, guiding me on this path.
Teaching me compassion, sharing and love.
In my moments of greatest despair, you were my guiding white dove.
Leading me back on the right track, no matter the weight of the burdens that you carried on your own back.
Let's look back, to all those times you feared I had lost myself, making you doubt yourself.
Wheather you did the right thing, yet here we are as a single bond, a single existance, one soul forever true.
No matter what happens, no matter what life makes us go trough.
Know forever, my dearest mother, that I love you.
