Waking up early the next morning, Hailee opened her eyes to an unfamiliar room. It was still empty, and pretty dark with the only light coming from the recording booth. She let out a deep breath as she felt a weight on her. Looking down, she saw y/n hugging her tightly as her head rested on her chest, arm wrapped around her waist.

She never in her entire life felt like the world was crumbling around her then last night. Hugging someone so tightly, like they might disappear wasn't something Hailee ever thought she'd do. But last night, was the first time, she truly felt hopeless.

The girl, who was now peacefully sleeping in her arms, wasn't okay. Hailee could tell that y/n could fake being fine so well, almost forgetting that she gets triggered easily. Believe she was genuinely okay, and happy when she wasn't. Y/n was so good at it, it pained her heart when she realized just how not okay the young girl really was.

When she felt the warm tears on her chest, and the soft whimpers leaving the girls lips as she slept made Hailee get a glimpse of just how broken she really was. She held her tightly, and with every shaky breath, Hailee strengthen her hold. The only thing that seemed to calm the girl, and sleep soundly was when Hailee started singing. Singing any and every song she could think of, not once stopping until she knew y/n was finally having a peaceful sleep. She didn't know what time she fell asleep, and it didn't matter. She wondered if all her nights were like this, or if it was just tonight. After all, y/n did mention she didn't like sleeping in new places.

Turning to her watch she saw the time 7:00 am. She knew they would be opening the building soon, so she decided it was time to wake up, but she enjoyed their position. Thinking quickly, Hailee reached down towards her purse that was by a table next to them. Once she got it, she pulled out her phone. Extending her arm slightly, Hailee made a peace sign with her fingers, smiling wide as she snapped a picture of both her, and the sleeping girl.

She felt y/n stir, assuming she had also woken up. Thinking quickly once more, Hailee closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep.

When y/n woke up she felt something soft, and warm underneath. She looked up to see Hailee still peacefully sleeping. Slowly she removed herself trying not to wake up the older girl. Y/n looked at Hailee admiring her. She thought for a bit.

Last night was the first night that she ever fell asleep peacefully without having to wake up every hour. She didn't feel restless, constantly tossing and turning, or staring into the darkness of the room. But a peaceful sleep that she'd wish for, for so long. She fell asleep with Hailee, and somehow, some way she was able to sleep. Not even when she'd cuddle up with Ariana was she able to do that. Nothing helped, except... Hailee.

Running her fingers through her hair y/n let out a sigh. Her gaze locked back onto then sleeping girl next to her. She raised a brow leaning into her just a bit. Y/n gently combed her fingers through Hailee's hair, splitting her bangs. Her once comb over styled hair now parted, y/n couldn't help but continue to look at her. She played with the older girls hair a bit before letting out a smirk. "Emily's features are way better. No offense princess, but the curtain bangs are way cuter than the comb over you have going on."

"Is that so?" Hailee said as she opened her eyes, meeting the young girl inches from her face. Y/n feeling her cheeks begin to heat up, turned away.

"G-Good morning." y/n said trying to move the conversation away from what she just said.

"Did you sleep well?" Hailee asked stretching her arm.

"Yes, I actually slept really well for once in my life." Y/n nodded her head.
