it's one of wendy's afternoons that she's waiting for her best friend's update regarding the job position she is seeking at her current company. wendy has been jobless for the past eight months after she terminates the contract with her former employer, which she quote as "one of the worst and disgusting companies." other people might say she's just overreacting or she's just trying to make false accusations regarding the company. However, she knows more than that, and she's not stupid enough to still stay there after what had happened to her.

money is necessary, but her dignity and pride as a person is her top priority. being scolded once, twice, and even for hundred times is okay, but harassing your employees physically is not a fucking okay, and experiencing that is a nightmare, a trauma that she will never be able to cope up.

she hears her cry beside her; she shushes her with her softest and warmest tone that her baby could only want. she sings her lullabies every night that calms not just her baby but even herself, letting her thoughts drift and flows freely. it's been a roller coaster ride for the two of them, but she's still thankful despite everything.
