When I was thirteen, my family sent me away. "It's not safe for you in society. Please, leave! You're too fragile!" were my Dad and Mom's pleas. They brought me to a clearing south of the Mission and told me not to come back. It was for my own good. They left me with enough food for a month. Along with that, a water jug, herbal healing paste, a sleeping roll, and of course; my hover board. I'm sixteen now. I've been hiding from society ever since my parents dumped me in the Forrest. My name is July Pearl Ray, and this is my story.
