|Alfie's POV|
"do you think the new Coach will be as bad as the last?" Callum asked as we were sat at mine waiting to meet coach
"I mean he's inviting us to his house. Maybe thats a good sign?" I asked
"But who does that? Yeah lets invites a bunch of teenage guys to my house" Noah said making me snigger
"I mean it's a step up from not even seeing us a humans" I said and they both nodded
Our old coach was hell on this earth, he saw us as robots. No emotions were allowed, nothing outside football mattered. That isn't how we all roll at all
"Time to go" My mum called from the kitchen, I asked her to remind me when 6pm rolled around
"Lets get this done" I said as we all stood up and headed for the doorCoaches house wasn't far from me, like 6 doors up?
"Come in guys" A overly happy middle aged man said opening the door as we rung the bell, we followed him into the living room where it looks like we were the last to join this party
"Right now we are all here" The man said
"My name is David Gregory, I'm your new coach! Feel free to call me whatever you want. Coach, Mr Gregory or even David" He said making us all look around not sure if this was true
"The way I see it, we are all a team. I'll have the same respect for you as you have for me. I'm not someone who is here to control you boys. We work together or it won't work at all" He explained and I honestly couldn't agree more|Lucy's POV|
I finally parked up at my house dodging all the cars nearby, this street seems to be very busy for a Sunday evening. I shook it off and headed inside before taking off my coat
"I'm not being funny but can we make it a rule that if you are going to stand up your own daughter you let her know please?" I called hoping one of my parents hear me
"I don't appreciate being left on my own. Whether I have my own car or not" I continued
"Honey" I heard my dad say from the living room
"I'm serious!" I said taking my shoes off
"Luce" Dad laughed
"Oh now you think it's funny! Isn't that lovely dad" I said rolling my eye hanging up my jacked
"Lucy!" Dad continued to laugh
"What" I said poking my head into the living room, instantly regretting it
"Oh what the" I said now taking a step into the living room
"This your new team" I asked and dad nodded
"Team, this is my daughter Lucy, Lulu these are the boys" Dad said making me roll my eyes at his nickname
"Well they are more attractive then your last lot" I said before making a quick getaway
"Not funny" He called after me
"Wasn't making a joke" I called back as I got to the kitchen"Hey mama" I said jumping onto the counter
"Hey baby" She said offering me some food, I smiled and happily took it
"I hear you've made the boys" She giggled
"I have indeed, there are some heartbreakers in there" I said making her chuckle
"don't wind your father up please" She said tapping my leg
"help me bring this in to them?" She asked and i sighed and nodded before hopping off the counter and picking up a tray to take into the living room
"Thankyou" a boy said as I handed him a sandwich
"you're welcome" I said smiling back at him
"now if you girls don't mind, we need to get back to business" dad said placing his hand over mums shoulder
"business? It's football dad not accounting" i said, I don't get the big deal over all of this
"On that note, we'll be on our way" mum said grabbing my side as she dragged us both outIt was a little while later and I was sat outside with mum when dad came out with the team
"Alison, can I speak to you?" Dad asked mum who nodded as they disappeared inside
"So Lucy right?" The same boy from earlier asked
"Yep" I replied as he sat next to me
"I'm Alfie and these idiots are Noah and Callum" Alfie said, i waved to the other two boys
"Nice to meet you" I continued
"What do you think of this town?" Callum asked earning a strange look from me
"It's small" I replied
"Very observant" He said making me nod
"With a dad like Coach, I'm assuming you do some sort of sports?" Alfie asked and I shook my head
"Hell no. Dad being coach was enough to put me off of sports for my entire life" I laughed
"Really?" He asked and I nodded
"Why would I want to play sports when Sports is all that is spoken in this damn household at dinner time" I explained
"Yeah that doesn't sound fun" Noah said
"Has it always been like that?" Callum asked and I nodded
"Ever since I was a baby, dad has always been a coach so it was always a recurring theme. Just over the years we have had to move a lot due to more job opportunities" I explained
"So you just pick up your life and move?" Alfie asked
"Sounds fun doesn't it?" I said
"What is the longest you've stayed somewhere?" Callum asked
"A football season" I replied bowing my head
"Hopefully this time would be different?" Alfie suggested
"I'm not holding my breath" I said before excusing myselfI would love more then anything for dad to get a stable job and be able to stay in one place but that isn't my dad. He always finds something better, something more for him and no matter what me or mum have built it's crashed down by chasing his hopes and dreams. No consideration of ours at all
