 Aliyah Pov:

For 22 years I have been living my life in a place like São Paulo, Brazil. It's nice by decent but it's beautiful for a place. I'm so glad that I moved to Brazil. The beauty of Brazil is breathtaking and it gives me a headache to see there are some other parts that aren't safe for me. At least my apartment was decent enough to be an apartment studio. I could just remember standing in front of my parents' graves when I was only 16 years old. I could feel them looking after me. I sometimes think about them every once in a while when I dream of them. Just hearing that both of my parents died in a train wreck. It was fast as quick as it changed my life around. Under the protective services, I was put in foster care. There were times that I have escaped several times because I feel like I don't fit in with the other children.

So by far, I've kept my life together little by little over the past years. Yes, it has been difficult for me to keep up with my bills. Which I'm not going into yet. I digress. Let me tell you my part in this story, shall we?

I was heading to meet Gabriel at the cafe. For some reason, I walked slowly enough to get a car beeped at me.

"GET OUT OF THERE, STUPID WHORE!"

I screamed back. "FUCK YOUSELF, YOU ASSHOLE!"

Before I knew I was hit by a fucking car. A FUCKING CAR! Yelp, I knew I was going to die, but being hit by a fucking deadass car was out of the question. In fact, I wished I had died in the same accident as my folks. On a train. For now, not all people can't be beggars.

Honestly, my whole arm felt like it was ripped apart and my head spun around and I couldn't see where I was looking. But there was a voice so rasped that grabbed my attention.

"Hey, I need you to take you to a nearby emergency hospital."

I can't leave Gabriel all alone when I haven't arrived.

"My necklace has emergency contact numbers."

"Ok, I will make sure that they are going to need to go to the emergency hospital."

But all the world went black. It was the last thing I could remember before I woke up in the emergency room. I was covered in bandages on my head and a light bandage around my arm.

I touch my head. It stings. "Ouch. My-my head..."

"Hey, Sunflower."

I slowly turned to my right side of the bed to see him with his soft worried look on his face. Just looking at his tall pale skinned ass with medium-length hair that gave the red auburn color. That his dark blue eyes staring at me was relaxing.

Gabriel Mournwater. My childhood best friends. Of how we met, well. We both met in our second year of elementary school. After that we ended up in the same foster home. Which I think was fate to have your best friend to be there for you, right? And how we were stuck together ever since.

"How are you feeling, sunflower?" Gabriel asked.

"Oh, I think I'm ok right now, but how long did it take you to get here?"

"Uhh, it took me a 3-hour run from the cafe."

It never surprised me that Gabriel was willing to run miles away to get to me. I'm happier to see Gabriel was there for me like I was there for him. Just like two peas in a pod. The inseparable bond that we have.

Gabriel held my hands very tightly and I know that he was nervous for my safety. I gave him a soft smile. My head was ringing at first, but I was hearing something which caused me panic.

The footsteps of the doctor were coming closer by the time I spoke out loud. I was hearing the doctor's footsteps, which freaked me out from the inside. I didn't want Gabriel to be more nervous for me as it is. I kept giving a small smile at Gabriel while I was hearing the doctor's footsteps from five rooms away from my room.
