Chapter 8 - Memories

*on the same night*

Madison's POV

I was just about to fall asleep, it was only 9pm but I was tired as hell, but then, my phone suddenly rang,
it was Iann.

Iann| "Hey mads are you sleeping?"

Madison| "Not yet, is
everything ok?"

Iann's POV

I was on the phone with Madison, I just wanted to call her.

Madison| "Not yet, is
everything ok?"

Iann| "Yeah I just- um I-"

I called because I wanted her to be with me, but then I just froze.

What if she says no?

A lot of "what if" questions started to flow in my mind, that I completely forgot I'm still on a call with her.

Madison| "Iann?"

Ah shit.

Iann| "Yeah uhm nevermind,
good night"

Madison| "You sure?"

Iann| "Yes it's ok, bye"

Madison| "Goognight"

I hung up.
Stupid me,
why did I even think of that?
Does that mean I'm a coward?

I tried to fall asleep but I heard knocks on my door, I got up to open it.

Iann| "Madison?"

Madison| "Hey uhh- am I interrupting you?"

Iann| "No it's fine"
I said with a cough

Madison| "Oh ok um I was just- just checking cause you
didn't seem really good"

Iann| "I just can't fall
asleep that's it"
I said and coughed again
"Damn it"

Madison| "You sound sick do you want tea or something?"

Iann| "Thanks but-"

Madison| "I think you got a fever lemme just-"
She said and put her hand on my forehead
"Damn you're hot as fuck"

Iann| "Tell me something
I don't know"
I chuckled.

Madison| "Oh please just shut up"
She laughed.

We entered the room and I closed the door.

Madison| "Okay so just lay down and rest, I'm going to
make you some tea"

Iann| "You don't have to it's fine"

Madison| "Shhh now it's your turn to trust me ok?"
She said and I nodded and laughed.
