Well, I knew he wasn't listening. So I just shutted my mouth and looked again in the vast field.I can't get to look back since its so nice that you can stare at it all day(of course if I were with Rachel it would be better) so he looked at me with shameful eyes. "Hehe, sorry, just thought of something. So what was that you're talking about?" So I started from the top again. Well, not mentioning on what happened between Rachel and I today. But he seemed satisfied with the tory I told him. "Well, goodluck bro." He patted in on my back, and walks away. "Wait, where are you going?" I asked. "Its still 5 in the afternoon. " "Well, some stuff to do. Goodluck again with Rachel!" Then he walked away. I know that he wasn't happy about me being with Rachel. But I love her. But that was so fast, but still, I don't care. So I ran to my house. And saw my mom. unbelievable. She barely came here. Then I took one step closer and realized that she was crying. "Wh-what happened?" I asked nervously. But she just sobbed. Then I saw in her hands was a paper. That must be the answer. So I grabbed it and put my one hand away from her and one hand pushing her back as she tries to get the paper. Then I ran to my room and read it. Oh god... This can't be... Before I walked out the room my mom stopped banging the door. Guess she was tired. I walked downstairs. Terrified as I seemed. Then I saw my mom in the dining table. Sobbing. "He is sick. And we don't have enough money to pay for the operation, and when his dead how can we live?! We will be poor and I can't let you study. This is bad, oh this is bad." And it said in the paper that It was like months he started medication. Maybe he didn't want his family pressured about his sickness. So I started to cry. The more I have thought the good things with Dad the more I cry. He only has days to live so I Slept with a nightmare. I woke up with a start. I saw mom had eyebugs and messy hair. She must've done something when I'm sleeping.just not sure what. Then I asked my mom if we could go to the hospital where my dad is. She agreed. So I packed some fruits and putted it in the basket and left with mom.
I was in the hospital and I saw some people crying, worried and some are happy. And some also brought a basket of fruits. When I came in the room I saw dad. Sleeping. I putted the basket of fruits in the small table and sat in the couch, waiting for him to wake up. Waiting for him would take minutes. So having a nap would do it. Then I heard a groan. I opened my eyes and realized it was dad. My mom sobbed and I quickly stood in front of him. "Why didn't you tell us?" I asked furiously. He should have told me so Mom and I could have done a small business and earn money for the operation. "Sorry Noel. I just want you to focus on your studies so that when I die someone can take care of your mom. I thought I can stay longer. So I worked hard and gave you all the needs. But I stressed and the pain got back." He said. horrified. "The pain where?" I asked. "His liver is destroyed due to alcoholic habbits." The doctor answered as he came. "Well, we can have a liver transplant." The doctor suggested. "But we don't have enough money." My mom said. "Please... Help us!" My mom pleaded. "Im sorry but I can't do that." The doctor replied. "Dad! Why are you drinking wine or beer, or whatever. Did you even know what will happen to you?!" I scolded him. "Im stressed son. Your mom doesn't even help me. You think she helps us? But no. She just gambles all along with his friends." My dad said angrily. "And she wanted you to go to a better school, so that when you get a better job she could still continue her gambling all over again!" My dad shouted. Then I looked back at Mom. Angrily. "You shouldn't have done it!" "I'm- I'm sorry..." My mom said. As I got closer she backed away. Grabbing for the doorknob. "It's all your fault then. So you shouldn't have the right to stay here!"
"Don't talk to me like that. I'm you're mother!"
"It doesn't matter anymore! Dad is my real parent! And you are nothing to me for I know what you've done." When she grabbed the doorknob she fled. Crying. I didn't look sad about mom leaving. I was mad at her. Very mad. "Why did you let her do that?" I asked Dad." She could've stopped and earn a lot money." "Well, she told me if don't give her money she'll leave. And you now how I love her."
"But that's unfair!"
"Life will be always unfair, and you should remember that."
"Well, time for check-up Mr. Donson." The doctor said and pushed me aside." And by the way. Could you leave the room please." "Ok, bye Dad, see you tomorrow I guess." Then I left the room. I wonder where Mom had been. Maybe back to gambling business? Not sure. So I just walked home. When I came in the house it felt silent. Mom wasn't here. Well, I left the house. Walked anywhere my foot leads me. Then I bumped on someone which I didn't realize it was Rachel. "Oh, hi! Uh, why are you here?" I asked. "Oh, umm, nothing, hehe, so where are you going?"
"Well, where mu foot leads me." Then she managed a giggle. "So do you wanna come with me to church? Dad's going to be home late soo--"
"Yeah sure!" I said happily.
