To say that I lost my shit at Seth wasn't a far cry. Watching the usually cocky and high-spirited Seth become quiet and timid as I shouted at him, his face impassive and hands up in surrender. It took Lillian stepping in for me to storm off in search of Aries, who was still sitting by the training hall, curled around himself as he sniffled away, tears framing his reddened eyes that avoided my own.
Of course finding him there on the brink of a breakdown was enough to quell me, later finding out that Aries hadn't explicitly told Seth what happened, but simply stated that what we went through was worse than anything House Chalet had done alone to Aries.
"Don't go," Aries murmured, leaning against my shoulder as I sat down next to him, leaning into him. Aries needed me, but I was in no shape to offer the clarity he needed.
"I have too... I want too." I replied, realising it the was the prospect of being with my element and with Kieran that pushed me to go.
"I have a bad feeling about it Ri..." I was silent as he sat there, leaning into one another. His bad feelings always had a spooky way of being proven right.
"I think Kieran knows... or has some idea of what happened," Aries breathed, not looking at me as I glanced at him, pulled from my thoughts. I'm surprised Aries hasn't figured out what Kieran is yet, considering how observant he is. Or maybe he's noticed how Kieran recoils at talks of that, and has chosen to keep it to himself. But Kieran's the same, taking notice of things and putting two and two together. Maybe that's why these two are my best friends; they don't push, they just support.
"I think so too. At least he doesn't push it like Seth does." I huffed, trying to laugh but unable to find the emotion to go with it. Between going off at Seth and the last few weeks, I was ready for numbness.
"When you get back... let's-we should tell them. Let's tell them what he did Ri."
"Okay... we'll tell them. Together."

Kieran had replied to the email earlier that morning, with a brochure on one of the cabins on the peak, along with a date and time on it. We were hoping that whoever JR was, that he would meet with us in secret, but knowing that we could be coming up here and leaving empty handed, was a big possibility.
We had driven most of the night, sharing some light-hearted conversation most of the way; the very reason I chose to come with, knowing that Kieran would lift my spirits without pushing me too much for an answer as to what I experienced.
