"Tell me why you cry little pup." the deep rumbling voice cuts off my sobbing, franticly my tear-filled eyes searching the broken stone room I've fallen into but only darkness shows itself.
The roaring of fire and screams blend into a wail of torment
I close my eyes tight shaking my head the action splattering the ground with mud and tears, 'th.. their g.. gone, their all gone m.. mum a.. and everyone their gone.' My voice cracks the flashes of what happened causing fresh tears to spill from my eyes splashing on the ground.
'Hmmm loss I know it well, tell me little pup what do you plan to do about it.'
Crazed laughter throughout the house mothers pale face and lifeless eyes
My tears start to dry, my anger slowly builds, my scratch marked arms shaking and my teeth clenched.
The stinging of the branches across my skin running from the robed men
My nails digging into my palms draw blood 'I.. I'm going to find who did this.'
'mmm and when you find them little pup what will you do.'
I ignore the pain as I punch my fist into the stonework beneath me. 'I. Will. Kill. Them. All.' My voice ripples with silent determination.
Falling the uneven forest floor giving way to a large, darkened room
The area erupts in bellowing laughter the darkness begins to recede as the clanging of chains and large foot falls draw close. 'Very well little pup.'
Out from the disappearing darkness stalks a wolf its arched back grinding along the previously hidden ceiling its large white furred body covered in crossing links of black chains that almost seem to eat away at the rooms already low light. Its eyes pools of black covered in star like specks stare with barely contained glee.
'let the hunt begin'
